Canterbury Racing Tips: Wednesday, September 18th 2024
Race 3: Vale Graham Mcneice BM72 1250m – 2:35pm (AEST)
(1) Deprivation $3.20: 6YO gelding who was rather impressive when resuming winning by almost 3L where he dictated from start to finish. He then took on this class last start and only narrowly missed. Gets in again nicely with a 3kg claim and only needs to lug an extra half a kilo from last start. Draws a handy gate and will only be improving third up.
(3) Need Some Luck $2.20: 4YO Gelding who is resuming today and is a proven winner over this track and when resuming. Main danger with Tommy Berry to steer.
(2) Love Shuck $16.00: Last start winner where he hit the line nicely to pick them up. Previous outings have been against some quality horses. Deserve a little respect at odds here.
(1) Deprivation
$3.20 (2 Units)
Race 5: Tab 1580m- 3:45pm (AEST)
(6) Little Jeanie $6.00: 4YO Mare who rather consistent and has filled the minors 7 times from 9 career starts, but only has the 1 win under her belt. However, that win comes at this track/distance. Resumed nicely and will only be improving second up now.
(8) Seafall $7.00/$2.15: 4YO Mare whose maiden win three runs back was very impressive on the soft and timed the run to perfection to score. Resumed last start and lacked a little bit of fitness, but expecting improvement second up and loses 2kg off her back with J-Mac jumping on. Draws pole position and expect a handy position. Watch for her nice TOF late.
(9) Just Glamourous $2.70: The favourite of the race and has been terrific both runs this prep. Remains at the same grade, but rises in trip which looks to suit and she drops 1kg off that last start run. Peaking fitness.
(8) Seafall E/W
$7.00/$2.15 (1U/2U)
Race 7: Precise Air BM72 1250m – 4:55pm (AEST)
(1) Countyourblessings $4.00: Dominant last start winner when resuming. Draws a handy gate and gets in well at the weights with a 3kg claim. Boasts 2 wins at this track and is proven over the distance. Can only improve second up.
(2) Terrestar $8.50/$2.35: 5YO Mare who is resuming here over 1250m which is probably a little shy of her best, but looks sharp enough off her trial to tackle this distance. Market support shows some promise.
(6) Seascape $2.60: 3YO Filly who looks to be a talent. Draws a nice gate and will be hard fit now for this third up run. Gets in well at the weights and must be respected. The one to beat.
(6) Seascape
$2.60 (3.5 Units)
