While there’s many ways to bet on the AFL Brownlow, one of the more popular Brownlow betting markets is the Team Votes. Forget who takes home the Medal…more importantly who is going to lead at YOUR club?
While many of the teams do have dominant winners, and there isn’t a lot of value in the markets, we have found a couple of spots that might be worth looking at. You can also use the information below to compare to your own numbers for other Brownlow markets such as head-to-head or group betting.

Jordan Dawson should win at Adelaide but there’s no value in the price. Izak Rankine had a good season but missed a lot of football through suspension and injury so it’s hard to see him challenging.

Another great season by the reigning Brownlow Medallist. Neale wins Brisbane, but it’s close in ‘Neale out’ markets with McLuggage just ahead of Zorko. If you think Zorko can overpoll, then he’s the value at $7.00.

Cripps is the favourite to win the Brownlow and is well ahead at Carlton. Last year, he overpolled by +6.5 votes compared to our projections, so he's going to be hard to stop in 2024! In markets without Cripps or Walsh, it’s a coinflip between Charlie Curnow and Tom De Koning.

Finally an interesting market with Jeremy Cameron and Max Holmes pretty close at Geelong. The markets have Cameron pretty short, so the value is defintely with Holmes who is as much as $8.00 at some sportsbooks. Cameron was very influential in matches so I won’t be touching this one.

I think Noah Anderson is another great multi builder at $1.25 to win Gold Coast. He was very strong in home wins, and while Matt Rowell’s in-and-under style is right under the umpire’s nose, I think Anderson will catch their eye for his run and goal kicking. Anderson also overpolled by +3 compared to our projections last season.

One player I may be overs on is Tom Green who I think is the best roughy of the field to win the Brownlow Medal. We have Green polling a lot of 1 and 2 vote games - in fact we have him polling in 15 games which is only behind Daicos and Cripps with 16. So if he can somehow turn a few of those 1's and 2's into 3 vote games, then he’s right in it. It’s also quite possible for him to miss completely in some spots, but either way, he should win GWS in a canter and the $1.10 available can boost your multi.

Another boring market with Jai Newcombe very short to win Hawthorn. It's hard to see him getting beat unless he misses in a lot of spots as Dylan Moore had some good games but won't poll in as many.

The once mighty Dees have slumped on Brownlow night this year. We have Max Gawn ahead but only just, so his $1.20 quote looks a little short. The value is in Christian Petracca to cause an upset at as much as $5.50. And just remember that Jack Viney overpolled by a staggering +8.5 votes compared to our projections last season!

Arguably the most interesting market this year is at the Kangaroos where it’s extremely tight between LDU and Harry Sheezel. We have LDU just in front and he was perhaps more dynamic at times, while Sheezel was super consistent. Too close to call!

A great season by the Power midfield with Zak Butters narrowly ahead. Rozee was superb early and looked an outright chance at one point but fell away late in the season. JHF certainly flew under the radar and had major impact with fewer possessions. We’ve seen Rozee as high as $15 which seems too big, while JHF isn’t the worst $5.00 shot in the world. Butters did finish comfortably in front of Rozee last season.

The wooden spooners offer an interesting market because it won’t take much to grab the win at Tigerland. We actually have Noah Balta in front and he’s $21 at most sportsbooks so that’s certainly worth a nibble.
Balta had 23 disposals and 3 goals in Round 1 and was arguably best on ground against Carlton. The problem is that the Tigers lost and Patrick Cripps had 31 touches.
The other game he should poll in was the Round 13 away win against Adelaide where he had 20 disposals and 12 marks.
Tim Taranto is favourite at most sportsbooks but remember he underpolled by -5 compared to our projections last season. We only have him polling in two games this season.

I’ve learned that you take on the Bont at your own risk on Brownlow night as he is typically a massive overpoller. I have leaned his way where I can and yet I still have him over 10 votes behind the leaders this season, so I can’t see him winning. I also have it very close between him and Adam Treloar at the Dogs. Treloar was huge all season, so the Bont is no lock at $1.10. Treloar at $7.00 is the value.
