Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Wednesday, August 21st 2024
Race 3: Ole Kirk First Yearlings BM72 1200m - 2:35pm (AEST)
(4) Chilly Filly $6.00/$2.00: 4YO mare who is resuming from a let up and gets slightly back in grade now. She boasts a good record over 1200m with 2 wins from 3 attempts and gets in well today at the weights which boosts confidence. Unbeaten third up and will be ready to fire again now. Draws the pole position, so expect her to get a nice run in transit. Go well.
(7) Imperial Force $2.90: 3YO colt who came second on debut in open grade before bolting in to win by almost 4L second up. Third up wasn’t all that far away in open grade again, but the heavy track took its toll. First up now and will be more experienced now and worth thought.
(8) Nightingale $9.00: Value of the field who was dominant two back and then not that far away over 1300m in this grade. Fitter for the run and goes well back to 1200m and when being third up.
(4) Chilly Filly E/W
$6.00/$2.00 (1U/2U)
Race 5: Ranvet BM72 1400m - 3:45pm (AEST)
(3) Vivy Air $6.00/$2.00: 4YO Mare who was well supported last start when we were also onboard and she came home strongly, but just couldn’t pick them up. She will only be fitter now for that run and remains at the same class and rises to 1400m now which looks ideal. Draws a wide gate, but J-Mac stay on. Top hope.
(8) Yorkshire $2.50: The favourite of the race who is on a quick back up and has proven to be a real talent thus far. Appears to love the wet track and once again can go on with it. Out in trip slightly now though.
(12) House of Cards $5.00: 4YO who was dominant first up this prep hooning late to score comfortably. Draws well today and will only be fitter for the run. Prefer him on the dry ground though.
(3) Vivy Air E/W
$6.00/$2.00 (1U/2U)
Race 7: Toyota Forklifts BM72 1600m – 4:55pm (AEST)
*SCRATCHED* (1) Flossing $18.00/$4.40: 7YO who gets back to the mile now where he boasts a terrific record. Almost a month between runs now and should be ready to tackle this grade with the 2kg claim engaged which puts him in nicely at the weights. Draws a nice gate and expect him to be in this for a long way at big odds.
(7) Influential $4.20: 4YO who was scratched last week due to the track condition. Narrowly beaten second up and goes well at this track. J-Mac remains in the saddle off last start and will once again be a main danger.
(13) Poppin’ Champagne $3.80: 4YO mare who has been around the mark in most of her runs. Dominant two back over the mile before finishing 3rd in open grade. First up this prep dominant over 1400m. Rises to the mile again for this second up run and will be the main danger.
