Round 4 of the 2024 AFL season will see all 18 teams head to South Australia for the second edition of 'Gather Round'. Action begins on Thursday night with Adelaide searching for their first win of the season when they take on Melbourne. Friday night footy will include a double-header for the second straight round, which will be capped off with Port Adelaide taking on Essendon. There will be three games back-to-back-to-back on Saturday with the Western Bulldogs vs Geelong being the headliner. Finally, Gather Round concludes on Sunday with a juicy three-game slate, with Collingwood vs Hawthorn wrapping it all up.

2024 AFL Round 4 Tips
Thursday April 4th
Gather Round begins in South Australia with Adelaide taking on Melbourne at Adelaide Oval. The Crows have had a nightmare start to their campaign (0-3) and will be desperate to secure their first win, although it certainly won't be easy against the in-form Demons.
Friday April 5th
The first of two games on Friday night sees a couple of winless teams come together in the Lions and the Kangaroos. Surely, the Lions can finally get off the mark here?
The Power shot themselves in the foot with inaccuracy against the Demons in Round 3 and will be keen to quickly make amends. However, the Bombers have won a couple on the trot and their confidence will be building.
Saturday April 6th
The Eagles have picked up where they left off and look to be in for another very, very long season. They now take on the Swans who will be disappointed with last week's efforts against the Tigers.
The Dockers look to be one of the big improvers in 2024 and will now face a tough test against the Blues in Gather Round. This has sneaky match of the round potential and is certainly a hard one to pick.
Saturday night footy in Gather Round should be highly entertaining as the Bulldogs and the Cats come together for the 8:10pm (AEDT) timeslot. Both clubs are building handy win streaks and will fancy their chances in this one.
Sunday April 7th
The Suns and the Giants are both coming off a bye in Round 3 and will be keen to hit the ground running in Gather Round. Both expansion teams have been in great form so far in 2024 and that sets up a juicy clash on Sunday.
The Tigers opened their account with a strong win over the Swans last weekend. The injuries are certainly mounting at Tigerland and they face a tricky test against the Saints who can be electric on their day.
Wrapping up the 2024 edition of Gather Round is the Magpies vs Hawks on Sunday night. The Magpies took a step in the right direction with a tough win against the Lions last start and now have a great opportunity to make it back-to-back wins when they face the rebuilding Hawks.
