Warwick Farm hosts the state’s midweek meeting this week. Weather is looking fine so the track should be in good condition and racing should be fair throughout the day. Keen on plenty at short odds for this meeting and will be hoping James McDonald is on his game!

Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Wednesday February 22nd
Race 1
(2) Introducing could have the perfect introduction to racing in his debut in race 1 after beating Platinum Jubilee home in his only lead up trial 2 weeks ago. He’s in the right stable for a 2yo on debut and is drawn close to the rails which is always ideal.
(4) Storm The Ramparts was 3rd on debut in Qld and has a distinct race experience advantage over his rivals here. Drawn slightly wider which is a slight concern but experience will carry him a long way in this.
(7) Helldancer trialled ok behind Introducing and may have been slightly impeded in her run there. Gate 1 is sure to suit her so she’s got to be given a chance.
(2) Introducing Win
$2.50 (2 Units)
Race 4
(3) Eau De Vie is well-placed to win here with James McDonald booked to ride from gate 6. The filly was unlucky not to win or go very close last start when massively impeded in her run home. She can capitalise off a strong tempo in this race and swamp them late.
(1) Hollywood Hero is the most obvious danger here under Dylan Gibbons. He’s got a bit of tactical speed which should allow him to find a good spot early. If they don’t go too hard in front he can win this but might be treading water late with the favourite storming home.
(4) Air Bentley was 2nd and beat home Eau De Vie last time. He settled near the speed and kicked strongly to just miss. There can’t be much between this horse and the favourite, but I’m leaning Eau De Vie’s way with her bad lucky last start.
(3) Eau De Vie Win
$2.60 (2 Units)
Race 5
(2) Tip Of The Spear is ready to win after arriving in Australia late last year. He showed strong grit to close off well on his Australian debut after not getting much room for most of the straight. Last start he was a bit flat to the eye but was stepping up from 1500m to 2000m. 2400m is going to suit this horse well as it’s a European stayer and he should prove very hard to beat from a good draw with James McDonald riding.
(6) Mikasa led last time and was too good for his rivals. He can lead again and prove hard to catch although this is probably a tougher assignment for him.
(7) Tycoon Charger has won with big gaps to 2nd and 3rd in his last 2 starts. He’s in a rich vein of form currently which could take him a long way in his attempt at the hat-trick this time in.
(2) Tip Of The Spear Win
$3.30 (2 Units)
