All 18 AFL teams have now played at least two matches in the 2025 season, and we're starting to get an idea of which teams are the contenders and the pretenders. One of the premiership fancies coming into the season, Hawthorn, are yet to put a foot wrong and sit at the top of the ladder, while Adelaide have been ultra-impressive and occupy second spot. Arguably the most disappointing team through two matches are the Blues, and they currently sit in 14th.
We now turn our attention to Round 3 which gets underway in Melbourne on Thursday night, with the Bombers set to host the Power at Marvel. Friday night will feature two Victorian clubs doing battle, as the Blues look to get on the board for season 2025 against the Bulldogs. Super Saturday then presents us with a big four-game slate with a couple of blockbusters in the night time slots, while Sunday closes out the round with a double-header, finishing with the Western Derby between the Eagles and the Dockers.
