Sunday NFL is back this week with a great triple header kicking off at 5am! Check out our preview and betting tips for all three games below.
NFL Week 15 Sunday Betting Tips
Minnesota Vikings at Cincinnati Bengals
5am (AEDT)
The Bengals season looked done and dusted when Joe Burrow was ruled out for the remainder of the season with a wrist injury in Week 12. Despite that, they have won their last two games to climb to 7-6 on the season and now find themselves right in the hunt for a wildcard spot in the AFC. They put up 34 points in both of those wins, led by stand in quarterback Jake Browning, who has passed for over 300 yards per game and three touchdowns in those two starts.
The Vikings sit at 7-6 on the season as well and are firmly entrenched in the battle for an NFC wildcard. They are coming off an ugly 3-0 win over the Raiders in Week 14 and are still battling through injuries to key offensive players, most notably quarterback Kirk Cousins. They have the highest percentage of unders in the league, with the total going under in 10 of their 13 games so far.
Like the unders again here, 40.5 seems a little high considering both teams have a backup quarterback in and the Vikings in particular have been woeful on offence of late. Think this game finishes in the ballpark of 21-13.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts
8.30am (AEDT)
The Steelers and Colts also both sit at that 7-6 mark, making this AFC clash one of premium importance in the context of both the wildcard race and in the Colts case, the AFC South division race. The Colts trail the Jags by just one game and are coming off a disappointing 20 point loss to the Bengals in Week 14. Star running back Jonathan Taylor remains on the sidelines with a thumb injury.
The Steelers sit three games behind the Ravens in the AFC North but are still well and truly in the wildcard picture, and have winnable games against the Colts, Bengals and Seahawks over their next three before a big matchup against the Ravens in the final week. They have lost their last two, the most recent of which a shock three point loss to the Patriots. As is the norm in the NFL at the moment, they too are currently without their starting quarterback, Kenny Pickett.
The Colts are one of the best teams in the NFL against the spread this season at 8-5, they are at home here against an undermanned Steelers side. I think they get the job done and cover the 1.5 point spread.
Denver Broncos at Detroit Lions
12.15pm (AEDT)
The Lions are in a solid position with four games to go, holding a two game lead in the NFC North and a favourable run home. They are 9-4 straight up on the season and 8-5 against the spread, but they are coming off a 15 point loss on the road to the Bears in WEek 14. They’ll be back at home and opening as 4.5 point favourites on Sunday.
The Broncos have won six of their last seven games to storm back into contention in the AFC West, currently maintaining a 7-6 record and sitting just one game behind the Chiefs. They were too good for the Chargers in their last matchup, putting up 24 points and keeping the depleted Chargers to just seven. They seem to be one of the only teams in the league who has their starting quarterback fit and firing at the moment, with Russel Wilson playing well over their seven game stretch.
Like the overs here. The Lions have been one of the highest scoring teams in the competition this year, putting up 26.2 points per game and the Broncos have really found their groove offensively over the last few months, putting up 23.2 over their last six. Think the offences fire here.
