Morphettville hosts a 9-race card with the Goodwood as the feature race and four other stakes races on an exciting day of racing in South Australia. Race 1 starts at 11:27am (AEST), while the last concludes at 5:05pm. The rail is out 4m for the entirety this week. Selections are for a Good track with fine weather predicted, but as always, watch and monitor for any pattern if possible.

Race 4: Sportsbet Ken and Helen Smith Sa Fillies Classic 2500m - 2:02pm (AEST)
(1) Positivity is a 3-year old filly who has her second Australian run today and gets back out to a more suitable trip. Came second over a similar distance in the NZ Oaks two runs back before having a decent hit out last start at this track. Clearly needs further and gets that now. She draws nicely and gets Frosty Lane in the saddle. Really well weighted against the others and expect to see her winning. Keen!
(3) The Autumn Belle is a 3-year old filly who is capable of winning here, but her last two runs have put a damper on her previous form. If she brings her VIC form she can win at a nice price here.
(1) Positivity
$2.50 (3 units)
Race 5: Thomas Farms Centaurea Stakes 2019m – 2:37pm (AEST)
(1) Seonee is a 5-year old mare who has been superb thus far this prep with a handy second at G3 level in Victoria before putting them all to the sword last start over this track winning by almost 2L. She is rock hard fit now and I don’t see why this trip cant be won by her. Draws a nice gate and looks a great chance at a nice price.
(4) Sea What I See is a 4-year old who has been going great guns with five wins on the trot this prep. Demands respect, but draws a sticky gate this time round and will need some luck. Takes on some top-quality horses here and looks too short for me.
(1) Seonee
$4.40 (1.5 units)
Race 8: The Goodwood 1200m – 4:30pm (AEST)
(15) Oscar’s Fortune is a 3-year old gelding we were on in the Quokka last start and he was far from disgraced. Loomed the winner up the rail for a moment there, but couldn’t pick up the winner and Amelias Jewel. He meets Amelias Jewel again here, but gets a 3kg weight swing in his favour. Draws a nice gate and maps to lead here where the others all look to settle midfield. If this fella jumps well and dictates the race, I think he will be very hard to beat. Willy Pike comes over to stick on. Goes well.
(2) Amelias Jewel - Can't knock this mare who always tries her hardest and flies late, but just leaves herself too much work to do. Draws an okay gate, but doesn’t look to map that well and may get caught wide or be required to go wide to pick them all up again. She is capable though and one I wouldn’t leave out of the exoitics.
(15) Oscar’s Fortune (E/W)
$5.00/2.00 (2 units)
