Gloucester Park Harness Tips
Race 2 – 7:47pm AEST
Razor Brogden is usually around the mark in this grade and he should be fighting out the finish from barrier four tonight. Runner up two starts ago behind Bettor Pack It, the 6YO gelding was fourth at his most recent start when beaten 4.3m by Punters Dream and Kohli. Yet to win since arriving from New Zealand, Razor Brogden may get his chance with either Its Nevertheless or Rockmenow leading and Rocky The Outlaw applying pressure from the breeze.
My Rated Price: $2.80
Race 4 – 8:47pm AEST
Art Tutor comes up a big price in this Level 8 race considering his Gloucester Park form is good. A winner three starts back over Bolta, the 4YO entire has since run seventh and second – the latest was behind Our Corelli. He is consistently recording some of the quicker last halves in the field and barrier three looks good for Michael Grantham to land a position close to the speed with cover. Highview Sadler is huge odds from barrier two and has been held up at two of his past three starts from poor draws. He needs luck in his races, but the price is easily big enough to back him too.
My Rated Price: $4.50 (Art Tutor)
My Rated Price: $15 (Highview Sadler)
Value: Highview Sadler $51
Race 5 – 9:17pm AEST
Mistersandman is very short at $1.70 from barrier eight over the 1730m. Millwood Brandy resumes from a spell and the 7YO mare raced against good mares’ company last prep. A recent trial looks good and she will be close to the speed from barrier two. I don’t think she can cross Celestial Ruler who has been ticking along nicely for a 13YO gelding. He will appreciate a drop back to 1730m and can win the race if he produces his best form. Happy to back both on-speed runners over the shorter course. Watch for Its Major Bubbles who can fly the gate and is the quickest beginner on the front line. Wabi Sabi has each-way claims and I will also have something small on him to win.
My Rated Price: $6 (Celestial Ruler)
My Rated Price: $3.30 (Millwood Brandy)
Also backing: Millwood Brandy $4.00
Race 8 – 10:45pm AEST
Lady In Command is arguably the class operator in the fillies and mares event. Barrier eight isn’t great, but I don’t think her opposition is either and she has very strong claims of winning her fourth race at start 34. She was third of seven runners last time when beaten 4.9m by Presidentmach. They walked early and dashed home in 56.4 seconds. Lady In Command was a bit quicker with a 55.9 last half; much faster than her rivals in this field. I’m not sure if Robbie Williams sits back and comes with one run or puts the 4YO mare into the race. Expect her to go close.
My Rated Price: $2.80
