Another interesting Super Saturday is on the agenda in Round 12. The Roosters were pretty poor last week but could run up the score on the Titans. The Cowboys are looking to avoid a 5th straight loss as the in-form Raiders come to town. But the feature of Saturday’s action will be the 1st placed Panthers taking on the 8th Sea Eagles at Panthers Stadium.
NRL Round 12 Betting Tips
Roosters vs Titans
(Sat, Aug 1 3:00pm)
The Roosters were a bit off last week as they struggled to put away the Warriors in the 18-10 win. So Trent Robinson and his men will be looking for a return to their attacking best against the Titans leaky defence this Saturday afternoon. They did lose Boyd Cordner before kick-off and he's an important piece in their team structure. He'll be out again this week and so will Brett Morris. So Ryan Hall comes into the side on the wing.
Meanwhile, the Titans were in the game last week against the high-flying Panthers but just fell short in the 22-14 defeat. The positives out of the loss were Jamal Fogarty's continued improvement at halfback and Tyrone Peachey has been impressive off the bench. Corey Thompson is also starting to find his feet in his new side. In team selections, they have brought back Hipgrave for Stone and hopefully, his defence has improved after plenty of missed tackles against the Storm a few weeks ago.
This is a matchup we're not 100% confident in and we'll be steering clear of. The Roosters won the last meeting at the SCG 58-6 and in day conditions, that could easily happen again. So keep the Overs in mind if there's no rain in Sydney.

Cowboys vs Raiders
(Sat, Aug 1 5:30pm)
The Cowboys horror 2020 season continues after a 4th straight loss and they'll need to be at their very best to upset the Raiders at home on Saturday night. Despite their poor run of form, they're getting some good experience into their younger players and their defence has been better in the last 2 weeks. In team news, Connelly Lemuelu is named to return in the centres and Jordan McLean returns in the front row. So Molo will move back to the bench.
While the Raiders are in an injury crisis, their on-field performances have been outstanding over the last few weeks. They've beaten the Rabbitohs and Roosters in back to back games and they should be hugely confident of extending their winning streak to 3 as they head to North Queensland. But speaking of injuries, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad is now out for a few weeks and Rapana will take his place at fullback. It's not all bad team news though for the Raiders as they welcome back John Bateman into the back row. Curtis Scott also returns in the centres and new recruit Corey Harawira-Naera will come into the side on the bench.
In the Cowboys last 4 games - which have been against top 8 sides, they've scored an average of just 10.5 points. So we can't see them improving against another in-form top 8 side and we're keen on them scoring under 15.5 points.

Sea Eagles vs Panthers
(Sat, Aug 1 7:35pm)
Manly have won their last 2 games and that sees them sitting just inside the top 8. With plenty of injuries, the Sea Eagles are in a good position at the moment and should welcome the challenge of taking on the top of the table Panthers this Saturday night. There's also a chance Dylan Walker returns from injury this week. But with Cade Cust looking impressive at 5/8th, Des Hasler won't rush him back. At the moment, their only one team change will be Sean Keppie replacing Jack Gosiewski on the bench.
The Panthers have got the job done over the last 2 weeks against the Titans and Cowboys, but they haven't been overly impressive. So a top 8 battle in Penrith might be the spark this team needs. Their attack is a bit sideways at times as they struggled to put away the Titans/Cowboys. However, their defence is their major strength and that'll be the key against Manly. In team selections, it looks like Viliame Kikau will return to the back row after missing last week's clash. So May will return to the bench and Burton has been dropped.
This should be a really tough contest for the 80 minutes between two top 8 teams. Ultimately, we like the chances of a low scoring clash in night conditions, which was the case in the last meeting (15-12). These two sides are also top 3 in the NRL for saluting against the Under this season.
