NFL Week 17 Monday Betting Tips
Miami Dolphins at Cleveland Browns
8.05am (AEDT)
The Browns are set to host the Dolphins in their final home game of the regular season. While Cleveland’s playoff hopes have long faded, this matchup holds significant implications for Miami. The Dolphins need a road win to keep their slim playoff chances alive. Tua Tagovailoa, despite having a talented supporting cast, has faced inconsistency on offense. However, Miami’s defense boasts a top-10 rushing unit and a strong third-down defense.
For the Browns, the key question is whether quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson can improve in his second week as a starter. Missing tight end David Njoku and wide receiver Cedric Tillman won’t make things easier, but oddsmakers still give them a fighting chance as 3.5-point underdogs at home.
With so much more on the line, it’s hard to see the Dolphins losing this one. They have won five of their last seven games and have covered the spread in four of those, including last weeks strong win over the 49ers at home. Back them to cover the spread here.

Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings
8.25am (AEDT)
The Vikings are gearing up to host their divisional rivals, the Packers, at U.S. Bank Stadium from 8.35am (AEDT). This clash holds significant playoff implications for the Vikings. While Minnesota has already secured a playoff berth under Head Coach Kevin O’Connell, they’re eyeing the No. 1 seed in the NFC Playoffs.
Riding an impressive eight-game winning streak, the Vikings are determined to match the franchise record set by the 1973 and 1975 teams. The Packers, led by Head Coach Matt LaFleur, have also clinched a playoff spot and can play spoiler by disrupting the Vikings’ path. A win for Green Bay would force the Vikings to rely on the San Francisco 49ers upsetting the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football.
Think the Vikings are the play here at home. They are 10-4-1 against the spread this season, the 2nd best mark in the league behind only the Chargers. They are 6-2 against the spread at home and beat the Packers by two points in Green Bak in their Week 4 matchup.
Vikings -1.5

Atlanta Falcons at Washington Commanders
12.20pm (AEDT)
The Falcons head to Washington for Sunday Night Football in a must win game for both sides with huge playoff implications. The Falcons are still in the playoff hunt, but they need a win to solidify their chances. A victory against the Commanders would keep them in the NFC South lead and boost their postseason hopes. However, Washington won’t make it easy—they’re fighting for their own playoff berth. If the Carolina Panthers beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington’s fate might be sealed before kickoff. But if not, Todd Bowles’ side will be laser-focused on securing that playoff spot.
Last week, the Falcons made a bold move by benching veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins in favor of promising rookie Michael Penix Jr. The decision paid off, as Penix led the team to victory against the New York Giants. Now, all eyes will be on him as he faces a tough Washington defense.
The Commanders start as 3.5 point favourites at home but I’m leaning towards the unders here. Both teams have strong defensive units. The Falcons’ pass rush, led by edge rusher Dante Fowler Jr., will look to disrupt the Commanders’ passing game. On the other side, Washington’s secondary, anchored by cornerback Jayden Daniels, has been impressive all season. Expect turnovers and hard-hitting plays in this matchup.
