BBL14 Scorchers vs Strikers Betting Tips
Scorchers
The Scorchers were sitting pretty near the top of the ladder through five games, but have since lost their last four on the trot to fall all the way to 7th place with one game to go. Fortunately for them, they are still in the hunt for a playoff berth but must win on Saturday night to keep their chances alive.
To win, however, they’ll need a massive turn of form, after being decimated to the tune of 61 runs by the Thunder in their last game on Monday night. After allowing the Thunder 7/158 off their 20 overs, the Scorchers were bundled out for just 97 in reply, as only Aaron Hardie surpassed 20 runs in the chase.
Predicted XI: Sam Fanning, Finn Allen, Aaron Hardie, Cooper Connolly, Ashton Turner, Nick Hobson, Ashton Agar, Andrew Tye, Jason Behrendorff, Lance Morris, Mahli Beardman
Strikers
Much like the Scorchers, Adelaide must win on Saturday night as well as have other results go their way to sneak into the BBL14 playoffs. They bring slightly better form into this clash than their opponents, having beaten the Heat at home on Saturday night and losing a last ball nail-biter to the Sixers in their most recent game on Wednesday.
Chris Lynn and Jake Weatherald are still battling fitness concerns, but the return to form of Matt Short as well as Alex Carey’s return from international duty has shored up their top order nicely. Jamie Overton will depart for English duty and will likely be replaced by Liam Scott.
Predicted XI: Matt Short, D’Arcy Short, Alex Carey, Ollie Pope, Alex Ross, Harry Manenti, Liam Scott, Henry Thornton, Brendan Doggett, Jordan Buckingham, Lloyd Pope
Prediction
The Scorchers have lost two straight games at Perth Stadium, something that has only happened one other time since the turn of the decade. They have a dominant 25-14 record at Perth Stadium and a solid 14-12 record against the Strikers.
Back them to bounce back here and keep their season alive.

Andrew Tye should come back into the side here after missing the last game, and has a solid record at Perth Stadium. In 30 career games there, he has taken 48 wickets at a very solid average of 18.27. Good odds for 2+ on Saturday night given he generally bowls the death overs where wickets come a little easier.
