Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Wednesday, January 8th 2024
Race 3: Best Of Bordeaux @ Coolmore BM72 - 1600m - 3:30pm (AEDT)
(1) Alice Mae $3.80: 4YO Mare who made it three in a row before being only 2L away at Randwick in this grade last time out. She was nice enough through to the line and looks suited rising out to the mile now. Rates well with a 3kg claim engaged. Draws well and looks the one to beat.
(3) It’s a Wonder $2.70: 4YO Mare who won first up and then was spec’d in the market over this grade at Randwick. Finished 2L behind the winner in Emmadella. Fitter again third up and gets back onto the soft track which will assist. Will be around the mark.
(8) So Newchee Thinks $13.00/$3.00: Roughie of the field who is very genuine and isn’t far away on most runs. She draws well and gets in light, so could play a role here. One for the exotics.

Race 4: Casino Prince @ Vinery Stud BM72 - 1200m - 4:05pm (AEDT)
(4) Codetta $4.00: 3YO Filly who drops back to 1200m now where she is unbeaten. Back on the soft track which boosts confidence as well as she is 3 from 3 on the soft. Draws a nice alley and gets in well at the weights. She must be respected. Goes well.
(5) Bartolf $2.40: 3YO Colt who was dominant last start winning by 2.5L at Beaudesert over 1250m. Rises in grade now, but must be considered off that recent performance. Fitter again.
(6) Husk $8.50/$2.20: 3YO Filly who has been racing rather well considering the competition she has been up against. She has some nice form lines and looks suited in this grade. Only battled home first up, but expecting improvement second up. Value.
(4) Codetta
$4.00 (1 Unit)
Race 6: Asahi Super Dry BM72 - 1000m – 5:15pm (AEDT)
(3) Storm The Ramparts $2.90: 4YO Gelding who has a handy resume and looks ready to fire second up. Untested on the soft track, but has nice form on the heavy, so don’t expect this to be any hindrance. Draws well and will be the one to beat.
(8) Outback Miss $3.80: 4YO Mare who resumes with two handy trials under her belt. Loves this trip, goes well fresh and proven on the soft. Consider.
(9) Rantan $3.80: 3YO Filly who has been racing well of late and has stacked up two handy wins over 1000m. Dominant last start over this trip/grade and will be ready to fire again. Lugs some extra weight and draws a sticky gate, but will be around the mark.
(9) Rantan
