After a short break, we’re back to preview the final week of the regular season of the Darts Premier League. With the Playoffs set for The O2 next week, there are only five players who can now qualify, so it’s a tricky round to bet knowing that motivations are varied.
Let’s take a look at what’s on offer with our Darts Premier League Week 15 preview!
Darts Premier League Week 15 Betting Tips
Dave Chisnall vs James Wade
What a second half of the season it’s been for Dave Chisnall. His last loss came back at the end of March as he’s gone from avoiding relegation to still remain a small chance of reaching the Playoffs. In that six-game streak, he’s taken points from MVG, Barney, Taylor, Lewis, Anderson and Wright which is a remarkable run. After he smashed Barney last week with a 109 average Chizzy looked in prime position to reach the Playoffs before Phil Taylor caused a huge upset by defeating MVG. It now means that Chizzy must win, Taylor must lost to Lewis, and Chizzy must overcome a 10-leg differential between them in order to qualify. It’s a tough ask but anything is possible! He should be able to get the first part of the equation done with a win here against James Wade who has nothing to play for. Wade just hasn’t been himself this season and looks like finishing in 8th spot. Chizzy’s scoring power will give him the opportunities for a big win, so he just needs to take his chances.
Bet: Dave Chisnall to win -2.5 legs -$2.20 at Sportsbet
Phil Taylor vs Adrian Lewis
Phil Taylor will know exactly what he needs to do here following the result in the Chisnall match. Most likely, he’ll only have to grab a couple of legs to qualify and then the pressure will be off. However Adrian Lewis also has nothing to play for, so you might think he might look after his fellow Brit and World Cup teammate, to ensure he at least does enough to qualify. Taylor could also finish as high as third with a win in this match, and a loss for Gary Anderson against MVG later in the night. That would ensure Taylor avoids MVG in the semis which may also play into consideration. When you weigh all those factors up, I’m sure Taylor will qualify and most likely, get the win here.

Peter Wright vs Raymond van Barneveld
This is not quite a dead rubber with Peter Wright still a chance to finish on top and score the bonus prize money if he can win here and MVG loses to Gary Anderson in the final match of the night. Snakebite has been in superb form all year, and consolidated his place as one of the elite players in the world with another PDC title during the week at the European Grand Prix Event with a superb whitewash of MVG in the final. His form has been majestic this season and the $5 on offer for him to win the Premier League is probably some value. Barney has nothing to play for here and Wright should get the victory.
Bet: Peter Wright to win -2.5 legs - $2.10 at Sportsbet
Michael van Gerwen vs Gary Anderson
This could very well be a dead rubber if Peter Wright and Phil Taylor have failed to win their matches earlier in the evening, which means match bets should be made with some caution. However more likely is that MVG will need to at least draw to claim top spot, and Anderson will need a draw to hold onto third place. A draw would also mean they avoid playing each other in the semis which is probably a positive for both players. It seems a draw could be a win-win result!?! I think it’s worth a spec bet in a match that seems hard to read.
Bet: Draw - $5.00 at Bet365
