Canterbury Park Racing Tips: Wednesday, November 20th 2024
Race 4: Ranvet BM64 1550m - 3:45pm (AEDT)
(1) Galano $10.00/$2.80: 4YO Gelding who was very impressive second up in BM66 grade winning by 3L with 63kg on his back. Only the slightest rise in class now and gets a 3kg claim which puts him 4kg lighter than last start over a similar trip. Looks a great value pick here.
(2) Aix En Provence $21.00/$4.50: 4YO gelding who looks well over the odds here. He has had 2 trials leading into this and goes well fresh. Maps nicely up on the speed and he can dictate this to his liking. Blow out hope.
(5) Darling Downs $3.90: 4YO Mare who has returned superbly this time round with 2 wins and a second. She was dominant in BM72 grade over 1400m last time out. Looks suited out to 1550m and Collett stays on. She maps nicely to get a handy tow into the race and id expect to see another brilliant TOF down the straight to pick these others up. Untested on the soft is the only query.
(5) Darling Downs
$3.90 (2 Units)
Race 6: Tab 1100m BM68 - 4:55pm (AEDT)
(2) Queen Of The Mile $29.00/$6.00: Roughie of the field who has trialled really well twice leading into this. Goes well fresh and can fill the minors at a big price. Prefer her on the dry track though.
(3) Jambalaya $5.00: 4YO gelding who looks to be one of the better bets for the day. He has been trialling nicely and is proven fresh previously. He gets back into a much easier affair than his last run where he finished 3rd behind Fleetwood and The Black Cloud. (handy form). He maps nicely and id expect him to just win this.
(12) Private Harry $2.50: This 3YO colt looks as though he may be something special 4 trials and then smacking his rivals on debut by 3L Draws well and deserves to be favourite. This is obviously tougher now and further. Prefer to watch at the price.
(3) Jambalaya
$5.00 (1 Unit)
Race7: Hyland Race Colours 1100m BM72 – 5:30pm (AEDT)
(1) Iron Will $11.00/$3.00: 5YO who is chasing a hattrick. Drops back in grade and only needs to lug an extra kilo off last starts win. Draws wide, but maps as though he’ll get to the front. Loves the soft and id expect him to be in front again for a long way. Takes catching.
(2) Yiska $3.30: Resuming 5YO who has had a few trails leading in. He gets in well at the weights with a 3kg claim and draws a nice gate. Proven first up and unbeaten over this trip. All career wins have come on the weather effected tracks. On top for me.
(4) Accredited $2.90: 5YO who also resumes and comes to hand quickly with 2 wins and a third when fresh. Nash gets into the saddle and he looks a main danger.
