Ceowulf is 2000m back to the mile and sits on the second line of betting at $6. Kovalica is the only other runner at single figures, being at $9. Chris Waller looks to have a stranglehold on The Metropolitan if the market is any guide, with the champion trainer having the first four in the betting, with Land Legend at $6 ahead of Newcastle Cup winner Etna Rosso at $8. First Light is at $9 alongside Unusual Legacy, who is borderline to get a run. Group l winning mare Zardozi is at $9 too.

G1 Flight Stakes - Randwick, Saturday Oct 5
It's all one-way traffic for the Flight with unbeaten filly Autumn Glow stifling the market at $1.70. Snow In May, who ran second to her in the Tea Rose, is on the second line of betting at $5, with Manaal at $7, with that filly listed as 'Spelling' on Racing Australia, so may not run. The interesting runner, and the potential saver, is the stablemate of the favourite, Lady Shenandoah, who is the value at $8.
Also Backing: Lady Shenandoah ($8)
Avoid: Snow In May, Manaal
G1 Turnbull Stakes - Flemington, Saturday Oct 5
The feature race at Flemington is shaping up to be a beauty, with Via Sistina favourite at $3, with Eliyass at $4.50. Underwood winner Buckaroo is at $5 and rock solid, as is Warmonger at $8, who was a real eye catcher in the Makybe Diva.
