Draftstars have today announced that a guaranteed $1 Million in prize money will be up for grabs in the 2024 edition of the AFL Star. 240 Qualifying tickets are available throughout the 2024 AFL premiership season along with contests from NBA, NRL and PGA.

This year players can earn a maximum of 5 tickets for the Final.
The AFL Star Final will take place over two games on AFL Preliminary Final weekend which is the same as in 2023.
“The Star Tournament for the AFL last year was a raging success, despite the late start of the tournament. In 2024 we are taking it to the magic 1 Million Dollar mark with this year’s record breaking AFL Star,” said Draftstars Operations Specialist Luke Mathyssen.
To give more opportunity for low-stakes players to win their way into the AFL Star Final, Draftstars will be running Satellite contests for the first time. These will be run in conjunction with qualifying contests.
Win a Satellite and this will take you to a playoff contest against other Satellite winners.
As an example for what this will look like, across a round of football there will be 4x Satellite contests, (one on Thursday night, one on Friday night, one on Saturday and one on Sunday) with the Playoff qualifying contest taking place the following week.
The AFL Star 2024 Qualifiers and Satellites will start from Thursday 7th March for the Opening Round of the AFL season.
“We are getting stuck in straight away with qualifiers from the Opening Round to get our 240 entries to the final. Even if you are not an AFL fan, there will be plenty of opportunity to qualify through our other sport offerings throughout the season”.
“Players now have the opportunity to qualify with our satellite contests at a lower cost than our regular qualifiers. Feedback from our recent survey indicated that players wanted the opportunity to compete for the AFL Star with lower cost options. These will be smaller in size but if you win your playoff the following week, you are in running for a massive pay day in September”.
