Denver Nuggets at Golden State Warriors
Chase Center, 11am AEDT
The Nuggets went into the All-Star break on a three-game losing streak which was the highest such streak for them this campaign, but they’ve come back in better form with two wins from as many games; albeit both came against clubs down the bottom of the standings. Meanwhile, the Warriors have been in excellent form either side of the break and enter Monday’s slate having won three in a row and 10 of their last 12 games. They were able to grind out a win in an unusually low-scoring game against the Hornets last start to improve to three games above 500. The Warriors have finally hit their straps this season and will to snap a six-game losing streak against the Nuggets on Monday. They’re well poised to do just that considering the Nuggets have lost four of their last six on the road. Back the Warriors to get one back on the defending champions here.

OKC Thunder at Houston Rockets
Toyota Center, 11am AEDT
The Thunder have been impressive all season long and they’ve showed no signs of slowing down post All-Star break with two wins from two games. They were emphatic 22-point winners against the Clippers in their first game since resumption, and backed that up a day later with a monster 41-point win against the Wizards. The Thunder have now won four games in a row by 14+ points and are only 0.5 games behind the #1 seed in the Western Conference. Elsewhere, the Rockets were able to snap a mini two-game losing streak with a narrow four-point win against the Suns last start. The Rockets had lost six of their seven games prior which has seen them fall to the #12 seed in the West and 4.5 games behind the #10 seed. The Rockets have had a tough schedule of late and have been far better on their home deck this campaign (20-19) compared to on the road (5-22), although they now face a Thunder outfit playing ruthless basketball at the moment that are also motivated to leap into pole position in the West. With that said, I’m happy to back the Thunder to cover the spread in this one.

Sacramento Kings at Los Angeles Clippers
Crypto.com Arena, 1:30pm AEDT
The Kings are enjoying another successful regular season game and head into Monday’s matchup with the Clippers sitting seventh in the West and nine games above 500. They’re currently riding a two-game win streak, with one of those wins coming in impressive fashion against the defending champs in Denver. Likewise, the Clippers have had a terrific first 55 games of the regular season and are well-positioned to make a big impact in the playoffs. They’re currently occupying the #3 seed in the West and are just two games behind the Timberwolves in first. However, the Clippers have struggled for consistency in recent weeks, trading wins with losses over their last six games. They’ll look to go through the gears post All-Star break and will be eyeing off a big win against a decent opposition on Monday. In saying that, the Clippers have dominated the Kings this campaign with a 14-point win and a 20-point win in their two meetings. They should be too strong once again.
Los Angeles Clippers -6.5
