Golden State Warriors at Philadelphia 76ers
Wells Fargo Center, 11:40am AEDT
The Warriors will be on the fourth game of their road trip when they head to Philadelphia on Thursday to take on the 76ers. Most recently the Warriors were able to record an 11-point win against the Nets to make it three wins from their past four games. Klay Thompson was an interesting omission from their close lineup in their recent win and it’ll be interesting to see how he performs in this one against the 76ers. Meanwhile, the 76ers continue to struggle with MVP Joel Embiid sidelined with injury. They enter this slate having lost two in a row and six of their last seven games. One of their losses during this recent run was against the Warriors and while they’ll have homecourt advantage this time around, it’s still tough to see how they’ll reverse the result and win without Embiid carrying the offence and anchoring the defence.

San Antonio Spurs at Miami Heat
Kaseya Center, 11:40am AEDT
The All-Star break can’t come quick enough for the young Spurs who have found wins extremely hard to come by since their 3-2 start to the season. They’ve lost 38 of their 45 games since and are glued to the bottom of the West standings as a result. Still, Rookie of the Year front-runner Victor Wembanyama has been excellent and has provided fans with plenty of enjoyment in an otherwise frustrating campaign. Elsewhere, the Heat haven’t performed the way they would’ve liked in the first half of the season but are looking to finish strong before heading into the break. They’ve won three of their past four games and have improved to seventh in the East standings. Needless to say, the Heat are clearly the form team in this matchup and I anticipate an easy win is on the cards for them against the Spurs.
Miami Heat -7.5

New Orleans Pelicans at Los Angeles Clippers
Crypto.com Arena, 2:10pm AEDT
The Pelicans have bounced back from a three-game losing streak at the end of January with a three-game win streak to start February, and will be looking to keep the ball rolling when they travel to Los Angeles to take on the Clippers. They obliterated a poor Raptors outfit last time out by 38 points in what was a standalone home game before heading back on the road. On the other hand, the Clippers are returning home after finishing up a huge seven-game road trip where they dropped only one game, which was against another in-form team in the Cavaliers. The Clippers have won eight straight games at Crypto.com Arena and are oozing with confidence right now. There’s absolutely no reason why the Clippers won’t add yet another win in this one.
Los Angeles Clippers -6.5
