Denver Nuggets at OKC Thunder
Paycom Center, 12pm AEDT
A juicy matchup between two of the best teams in the West is our first play on Thursday. The Nuggets will be on the road for the first time since losing to the Knicks heavily in New York a week ago, although they were able to bounce back with a pair of wins in Denver. In contrast, the Thunder lost last time out at home against the Timberwolves, which made it back-to-back losses for SGA and co. Still, the Thunder are a fantastic 17-6 at the Paycom Center this season, which is up there with the best home records in the Association. Meanwhile, the Nuggets have a 14-11 road record which isn’t exactly poor, but also shows they’re vulnerable on their travels when compared to their impeccable 19-4 home record. The Thunder delt the Nuggets two of those home losses which is a testament to just how talented they are, and now that they have the homecourt on their side, I fancy them to make it three on the spin against the champs.

Orlando Magic at San Antonio Spurs
Frost Bank Center, 12pm AEDT
Since a surprisingly hot start to the season, the Spurs have regressed over their past dozen outings, winning only four of them. Some of this regression was to be expected simply due to being such a young team, as well as opposing teams getting a better scout on them. However, I’ve enjoyed their past two games where they came from behind to defeat the in-form Suns, before going down nobly against the Mavericks on the road last outing by two points. Meanwhile, the Spurs are obviously in full rebuild mode and any wins they pick up along the course of the season are a bonus. For me, this is a great opportunity for the Magic to build some momentum with a big win.

Phoenix Suns at Brooklyn Nets
Barclays Center, 12:30pm AEDT
Last on our plays for Thursday comes from the Suns at Nets game, which also includes one of the Picklebet Promos. The Suns will be on the fourth game of their road trip when they stopover in Brooklyn on Thursday, looking to make it back-to-back wins after taking care of the Heat last start. That win snapped a two-game losing streak but also made it eight wins from their past 10 outings. In contrast, the Nets have only won three of their past 10 games although two of those wins came from their past two games. Still, the Suns are the far superior outfit and are expected to be at near full strength once again, which has proven to be a recipe for success. I expect them to come out on top once more on Thursday.
