NBA Betting Tips: Thursday, December 14th 2023
Atlanta Hawks at Toronto Raptors
Scotiabank Arena, 11:30am AEDT
Both the Atlanta Hawks and the Toronto Raptors enter this matchup on four-game losing streak, which makes for an intriguing Eastern Conference battle. The bulk of the Hawks losses have come on the road, losing four of their last five on their travels, with their sole win coming against the lowly Spurs. For the Raptors, most of their damage has also been on the road, meaning they’ll be more than happy to return to play in front of their home fans at Scotiabank Arena on Thursday. Interestingly, the bookies have prices this one as almost even-money which is something I certainly don’t agree with. The Hawks have been horrible on the road of late and considering the Raptors have multiple long defenders to throw at Trae Young, I like the chances of the home side here.

Indiana Pacers at Milwaukee Bucks
Fiserv Forum, 12pm AEDT
In a rematch from less than a week ago in the In-Season Tournament, the Indiana Pacers and the Milwaukee Bucks will meet again on Thursday. Instead of playing in Las Vegas, this time the Bucks will have home court support at the Fiserv Forum. On top of that, the Bucks will be desperate to avenge their recent loss against the Pacers, and have had plenty of time to go over their mistakes and potentially gameplans. Even more, the Bucks are undefeated at home this season, which is why they’re listed as the clear favourite on Thursday. Still, I don’t think the line is big enough and believe the loss of Andrew Nembhard is also a big one for the travelling Pacers. With that in mind, I fancy the Bucks to win easily here.
Milwaukee Bucks -6.5

Brooklyn Nets at Phoenix Suns
Footprint Center, 1pm AEDT
A few familiar faces will meet again on Thursday when the Phoenix Suns play hosts to the Brooklyn Nets. Of course, less than a year ago the Suns traded away key wings Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson to acquire future hall-of-famer Kevin Durant. Both teams seem to have benefitted from the trade, although we’re yet to see the full force of the Suns this season, which is a chance to happen on Thursday. All of Booker, Beal, and Durant are listed as at least likely to play. However, even if only two of their big three are to take part, I still fancy them to win at home and cover the small spread against this current Nets outfit.
Phoenix Suns -3.5
