UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs Rodriguez Betting Tips

November 10th 2021, 7:24pm, By: Ben Talintyre

UFC Fight Night Betting Tips

The UFC returns to the Apex Center in Las Vegas, Nevada this weekend and the headliner is one not to be missed, as Max Holloway faces off against Yair Rodriguez for the next shot at champion Alexander Volkanovski. In the co-main, Ben Rothwell faces Marcos de Lima and Felicia Spencer looks to get her UFC career back on track when she meets Leah Letson.

This week I look to the main event and three on the undercard for my best bets on the card. I also will be having a stab at a couple of multi’s. Firstly one with all four selections below to win their fights and for a big value multi, all four to win by decision. Let’s get right into it below.

UFC Fight Night Betting Tips

Max Holloway vs Yair Rodriguez

I honestly don’t see why this match up needs to be made. Holloway is clearly the number two guy in the division and Yair Rodriguez is a flashy finisher but at best is a gatekeeper. They missed an opportunity for an even better fight to as the only other fighter worthy of closing in on a title shot is Giga Chikadze so him against Holloway would have made sense but anyway Holloway vs Rodriguez is what we have.

Max Holloway is the better striker by a fair way and Yair Rodriguez will need to mix up his attacks well to have any chance. While Rodriguez is an excitement machine, he will have to catch Holloway with something outrageous to win this fight, as he simply will not win on the scorecards. I expect Holloway to dominate all five rounds and I see Rodriguez being able to survive all five rounds… just.

Holloway by decision

$2.25

Kennedy Nzechukwu vs Da Un Jung

I really like Nzechukwu here as Jung is one dimensional and won’t be able to take Nzechukwu down like he did to secure the win against William Knight. The fight before he was getting picked apart by Sam Alvey who hasn’t won any of his past seven fights. Nzechukwu has fantastic output and should be able to clearly control the centre of the Octagon and secure a dominant decision win, simple as that.

Nzechukwu to win

$2.00

Marc Diakiese vs Rafael Alves

Marc Diakiese was hyped up when he entered the UFC as the best thing since sliced bread and although it didn’t pan out that way, they did throw him to the wolves early and often in his UFC career. He returns here after a 16-month layoff and looks the goods in this match up. Alves relies on reckless close quarter exchanges, something a seasoned striker in Diakiese won’t give him. Diakiese chops Alves’ lead leg from the outset and picks him apart in a one-sided display over 15 minutes.

Diakiese to win

$1.57

Sean Woodson vs Collin Anglin

Sean Woodson was another hot prospect coming into the UFC but a shock third round loss to Julian Erosa stemmed his hype. He got back to winning ways last time out in a dominant display over Youssef Zalal. Collin Anglin prefers to strike but has no advantage on the feet over Woodson. Anglin’s only hope is to constantly rely on his pressure and takedown attempts to hopefully sap Woodson’s gas tank. I see that outcome unlikely, and expect Woodson to piece him up on the feet on route to a dominant victory.

Woodson to win

$1.30

Multi: Holloway + Nzechuwu + Diakiese + Woodson all to win ($4.66 Bet365)
Value Multi: Holloway + Nzechuwu + Diakiese + Woodson all to win by decision ($52.92 Bet365)
