Pakenham Racing Tips: Saturday, December 21st 2024
Race 2: Fulman Park Don Duffy Handicap - 12:45pm (AEDT)
(1) Romani Ite Domum will have to get over from barrier 10 but can led all of the way again here I reckon for the Hayes boys. A Dry tracks suits and he looks ready to fire after looking good and winning a Flemington Jumpout last week. Shinn knows the horse well and with it being the second time over this distance, I think he will improve again.
(3) Grinzinger Pod came from midfield to score at Caulfield Heath last start but this is harder. He is 2 from 2 for Lachlan King though.
(5) Harpalee will be the one running on and if they go too hard up front he can win. Equal fav latest run and closed the strongest.
(1) Romani Ite Domum

Race 6: John Duff & Co Vobis Gold Bullion - 3:05pm (AEDT)
(1) Umgawa gets his final chance for me here and it's not even to win, he just has to run a Place. The $2.30 on offer seems ok in what is now an 8-horse field after a scratching after he again ran home well last start. He hasn't won in 2 years but with the right run and with experience on his side, he should be testing the two favs.
(6) Running By likes Firm ground and likes this distance. Has been freshened up for this after winning at Flemington.
(7) Oh Too Good has won 4 from 7 and all were on Good tracks which she gets again for the Daffy team. Will likely start odds on after winning at Cranbourne last start.
(1) Umgawa (Place)
$2.30 (3 Units)
Race 10: Evergreen Turf David Bourke Memorial - 5:40pm (AEDT)
(15) Helix hasn’t had much luck lately despite Placing at this track on December 14. On the quick back up here and can win over his favourite distance. Craig Williams goes on and should give him a good run from barrier 8. A Good track suits and I think he will settle in around 4th position in the run. He has been wide lately so hopefully Willow can get him in.
(8) Is It Me for the Bowman camp is consistent but the worry is that he hasn’t won over this distance in 7 attempts. Flies home though and will be running on again.
(5) Freak Of Nature had no luck when 4th here last week. Loves this distance and likes when Ethan Brown is on top.
(15) Helix
$5.50 (3 Units)
