After a huge day out with our NBA tips on Saturday, we now turn our attention to Tuesday’s big slate where there are nine games set to play out. As always, we bring you our best spread and player prop bets for the day right here!
NBA Betting Tips: Tuesday, 9th of November
New York Knicks at Philadelphia 76ers
Wells Fargo Center, 11am AEDT
The Knicks had a promising start to the season with win in five of their first six games, however they’ve since lost three of their last four and are coming off their worst performance of the season, which was a 23-point loss against the Cavaliers at home. They now hit the road for a mini one-game trip to Philly with a current away record of 4-1.
The 76ers dealt with all kinds of issues in the off-season and while the Ben Simmons sage is still yet to finish, the team has been able to perform extremely well on the court. Since splitting their first four games at 2-2, the 76ers have gone onto win six straight games, which is currently the longest winning streak in the league.
These teams met a couple of weeks ago in New York and it was the Knicks who were able to negotiate a 13-point win. The 76ers have gone unbeaten since that loss to the Knicks and will have home court advantage on their side this time around. We expect them to make amends for last time’s loss with a solid win on Tuesday where they'll cover the spread in the process.
Note: Joel Embiid is a late out of this game resulting in the line completely flipping. This is now a no bet game.
New Orleans Pelicans at Dallas Mavericks
American Airlines Center, 12:30pm AEDT
The Pelicans are luck the Pistons and the Rockets exist otherwise they’d have the outright worst record in the competition right now. Since winning against the Timberwolves on October 26th, the Pelicans have registered six straight losses including three straight by at least a dozen points. They do have excuses with their two stars in Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson sidelined with injury, but their fans patience is surely wearing thin.
The Mavericks were really poor in their season-opening loss against the Hawks, but were able to quickly find their feet to be able to reel off wins in six of their eight games since. Their last start win over the Celtics was their most exciting yet, with Luka Doncic hitting a three-pointer on the buzzer the secure the win.
There’s no respite for the struggling Pelicans as they now travel to take on an extremely talented Mavericks outfit. They could get a boost by the potential return of Brandon Ingram, but even if he’s fit to play, we still can’t see them getting anywhere near the Mavs on current form. Take Luka and co. to cover the spread in this one.
Dallas Mavericks -9
$1.90
Miami Heat at Denver Nuggets
Pepsi Center, 1pm AEDT
The Heat came into this season looking to get back to the lofty heights they reached in the Bubble. It’s been so far so good as they’ve secured seven wins from their first nine games to hold the second-best record in the East. New recruit Kyle Lowry is coming off his best outing for Miami, posting a big 20-point triple-double in his team’s win over the Jazz last time out.
The Nuggets got their campaign off to a solid start with impressive wins against the Suns and the Spurs in their first two games; however, they’ve only managed to win three of their seven since and defeated the lowly Rockets by just one point last start. Nikola Jokic continues to play well coming off his MVP season, but the lack of firepower around him is starting to become a problem.
Having home court advantage on their side does give the Nuggets chances of winning this matchup a boost, but they’ll still need to drastically improve from the level of play they’ve produced in their last three games. All things considered, taking the Heat to continue their form and secure another win looks to be the way to play this.
