A-League Round 3 Betting Tips
Wellington Phoenix vs Western Sydney Wanderers
Friday December 3rd, 7.45pm (AEDT)
The Wellington Phoenix have started the season srong, going 1-1-0 to currently sit 3rd on the A-League tabel behind the two Melbourne tems. They captured a solid 2-1 win over the Central Coast Mariners on the weekend at their makeshift home base in Woolongong, where they will be this Friday night against the Wanderers as well.
Western Sydney have picked up two draws to start the season, both against New South Wales based opponents in Sydney FC and Newcastle. It's been a very gentle start for the Wanderers in terms of travel, in fact, they won't have to go interstate until Round 6 when they face Melbourne City.
Love the value of the Wanderers here. They have faced tougher opponents in the first two weeks of the season, particularly in Round 1 when they looked solid in the draw to Sydney FC. I think they are a better team than Wellington Phoenix and the New Zealand outfit are lacking the home field advantage here.

Melbourne City vs Western United
Saturday December 4th, 7.45pm (AEDT)
The reigning champs kicked off their season with a win over the Brisbane Roar in Round 1 but they could only muster a 2-2 draw against Adelaide United on the road on the weekend. They will be back at home on Saturday night as they face Western United in what has become a bit of a grudge match between the Victorian clubs.
United went down to their other state rival in Melbourne Victory in Round 1 but bounced back to record a 1-0 win over the Perth Glory at home on the weekend. There is a lot of value about United if you fancy them this weekend, with some outlets starting them as high as $6.00 to win.
Western United did win the last time these two teams met, claiming a 2-1 victory back in April of this year. That was their first win over Melbourne though, after City claimed wins in all of their first five games by an aggregate goal margin of 12-5.
Melbourne Victory vs Perth Glory
Sunday December 5th, 6.45pm (AEDT)
It's been an impressive start to the season for the Melbourne Victory, winning their first two games over Western United and Brisbane Roar to sit atop the A-League table. Two wins through two games is a massive turn-around from last year, where they won just five total games for the season and finished on the bottom.
Perth are 0-1-1 through two games, not the posititon they would have been hoping for considering they now embark on a seven game road-trip which sees them travelling across the country to face nearly every team in the A-League.
Love the value of the Victory here. They look like a new side to the one that finished bottom last season. There is still a lot of meat left on the bone as well, with the home side paying $2.45 to win this one and move to 3-0-0 on the season.
