After a week off the UFC returns to the Apex Center in Las Vegas, Nevada for a UFC Fight Night headlined by Heavyweight contenders Alexander Volkov vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruik. In the co-main, Dan Ige faces undefeated prospect Movsar Evloev and two Featherweight up and comers Mike Trizano and Lucas Almeida go head-to-head in a card full of intriguing match ups. We take a look at my three best bets on this weekend’s UFC card below.
UFC Fight Night Betting Tips
Alexander Volkov vs Jairzinho Rozenstruik
Alexander Volkov was absolutely starched last time out by Heavyweight contender Tom Aspinall in March and will be hoping for a much better performance this time out against Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Volkov has high output on the feet, using his height and range to pressure his opponents, which is a smart strategy against Rozenstruik.
This fight I see playing out similarly as his Volkov’s previous fight with Derrick Lewis. As long as Volkov stays alert he wins the minutes but one momentary lapse could see him knocked out cold. Really neither of these men have a ground game and the pick solely depends on if you see ‘Bigi Boy’ being able to knock out ‘Drago’.
I personally have to lean towards Volkov as I haven’t seen Rozenstruik be able to win minutes or knock out the calibre of fighter Volkov. Back the Russian to get the decision victory.

Damon Jackson vs Daniel Argueta
Damon Jackson is a finisher, securing 18 stoppages in his 20 victories as a pro and meets LFA Bantamweight champion Daniel Argueta here.
First off Jackson is often gets overlooked, largely due to not being the most active fighter and often isn’t the most active in his fights yet I truly love this match up for him. Daniel Argueta fought under a month ago in a five round war where he took a lot of damage so it is hard to know what shape he will be in for this fight.
Argueta’s style relies on effective top control and getting it to the ground and I don’t see him being able to get it to the ground and stay safe for a meaningful period of time. Jackson picks him apart on the feet at range and snatches his neck when Argueta makes a bad takedown shot.

Erin Blanchfield vs J.J. Aldrich
I’m just going to put it out there, Erin Blanchfield is seriously special. At just 23-years old her wrestling and jiu jitsu is already elite and her striking has shown remarked improvements. I believed last time out she would face a serious test in Miranda Maverick but she dominated start to finish on the mat. Since then, Maverick returned against Sabina Mazo and submitted her and Mazo ironically is the last person to beat J.J Aldrich.
Aldrich isn’t bad but Blanchfield can already handle the divisions elite and Aldrich is not at that level. At such short odds I can’t take Blanchfield money line so I will say she wins via stoppage. She has only finished two of her eight wins but has faced quality grapplers such as Kay Hansen and Brogan Walker in previous bouts. Blanchfield registers her first UFC finish here and seriously watch this space.
