Super Rugby Preview Round 9 Betting Tips
ACT Brumbies vs Western Force
Fri, Aug 28 7:05pm (AEST)
The top of the table Brumbies are back in Canberra on Friday and will look to basically lock up the number 1 seed for the finals. With a final round matchup against the Reds, the Brumbies won’t be taking the Force lightly on Friday. In last week’s matchup with the in-form ‘Tahs, the Brumbies were dominant in the second half as they cruised to a 38-11 victory, which included 6 tries. At the moment, the Force are struggling in defence and the Brumbies should take full advantage with ball in hand.
With two games remaining this season, it’s looking like the Force will likely finish the season without a victory unfortunately. They face a mammoth task this weekend in Canberra against the top side in the competition and will also meet the Rebels next week. In Round 8, they were no match for the QLD Reds as they suffered a 57-5 defeat.
There’s not much change of an upset this Friday night with the Force out of their depth against the top sides in this competition. So we’ll be looking for the Brumbies to create a sizable lead in the first half so they can cruise to victory in the second half before a tough matchup with the Reds next week.

Melbourne Rebels vs New South Wales Waratahs
Sat, Aug 29 7:15pm (AEST)
Saturday night Rugby will feature a crucial matchup between the 3rd placed Waratahs and 4th placed Rebels. So a spot in the Qualifying final is up for grabs for the winning side. For the Rebels, they’re coming off the bye and that could have come at a good time. They’ve been a bit inconsistent lately following a massive win over the Brumbies with a disappointing 19-3 performance against the Reds. However, knowing they’ll play the Force in the last round is a positive for their chances of making the finals.
Meanwhile, this is the Waratahs final regular season game as they face the bye in Round 10. So this is basically a must-win game. They couldn’t match the Brumbies in the second half last week during a 38-11 defeat and they’ll be looking for revenge on Saturday night after losing to the Rebels 29-10 in Round 4.
Huge game here for both sides and we feel like this will be a close contest considering what’s at stake. The ‘Tahs need to win or it’s basically season over and the Rebels can potentially finish 2nd on the table if they win their last 2 games.
