The 15th installment of FIFA eWorld Cup is heading to London this August, where we will get a chance to see the top 32 FIFA 19 players in the world go head to head at 02 Arena in what promises to be the biggest FIFA eWorld Cup yet! There are expectations of over 30 million spectators set to tune in!
The eWorld Cup will kick off on August 2nd through until August 4th, with all the action taking place at world-renown O2 Arena, located in Greenwich Peninsula in southeast London. It will also feature the largest prize pool up to date with $500,000 in the pot, half of which will be awarded to the champion.
2019 FIFA eWorld Cup Betting Tips
On the opening day of the tournament, all 32 participating players will start their journey divided into four groups of eight players each. The already announced groups divided the players depending on the console they use, meaning there will be two groups of eight players who are using PlayStation and two groups of eight players who play on Xbox.
All the groups will use a Round Robin format, meaning there will be seven rounds of matches to determine which four players will come out on top of their competition and earn themselves a spot in the Round of 16. In the knockout stages, the best-placed finishers from group stages will get paired with the lower-placed finishers from the opposite group. Meaning the 1st placed team from the group stage will get paired with 4th placed team from the second group and so on. All playoffs matches will be knockout matches, meaning any loss will result in a player suffering an elimination, whereas a streak of three wins awards the player with a finals appearance.
Throughout the group stage and playoffs, every player will play against other players on their console (PlayStation vs PlayStation, Xbox vs Xbox), as a result of the tournament's format. That will, however, change in the finals, where only the top PlayStation and top Xbox players will be left, meaning the finals will serve as a clash between best performing players from each console.
To adapt to the fact the finalists are not used to playing on the opposite console, finals will be a two-leg tie, meaning one match will be played on PlayStation and the second will be played on Xbox. The aggregate score will then be used to determine the champions.
By featuring 32 of the best FIFA 19 players the world has to offer it's safe to say FIFA eWorld Cup will surely not leave us indifferent as we watch the world elite competing for the title, eternal glory and the largest prize pool up to date. Who will come out on top will be revealed later on August 4th and while the competition looks tighter than ever, the huge increase in FIFA tournaments this year helped us get a better understanding of who has what it takes to lift the trophy and take home $250,000. So without further ado, let's take a look at our favorites for the upcoming eWorld Cup.
Corentin "Maestro" Thuillier; Team Vitality, Playstation
The Frenchman has a rich and impressive history of competing in FIFA tournaments behind him, with the first place at FIFA eNations Cup 2019 and e-Ligue 1 2019 being only two of many notable achievements that put his name on the map. While always considered a good player, his second-place finish in the Playstation Global Series Rankings this season forced his opponents to take notice of him. Priced at $11.00 to win the FIFA eWorld Cup, the Frenchman is by no means a favorite, nonetheless, a player that can put up a tough fight even against the best and on a good day take out anyone that stands in his way.
Mossad "Msdossary" Aldossary; Rogue, Xbox
It's hard to ignore the presence of Msdossary at FIFA eWorld Cup, or any other tournament for that matter. While a player that needed some time to start producing notable results, Mossad "Msdossary" Aldossary did it in the best possible way by winning the 2018 FIFA eWorld Cup in a dominant fashion and will look to repeat his success this season as well. A second-place finish at FIFA 19 Xbox Global Rankings and the title of reigning World Champion are enough for Msdossary to be considered as one of the favorites ahead of August, by being priced at $9.00 to win his second title and $5.00 to reach the finals.

Nicolas "nicolas99fc" Villalba; FC Basel 1893, PlayStation
Without a doubt one of the best players in the world, nicolas99fc enters the 2019 FIFA eWorld Cup as a heavy favorite to go all the way. His domination in the FIFA 19 PlayStation Global Rankings, where he finished 2343 points ahead of Maestro alongside a long list of impressive results in 2018 and 2019 are enough for us to not ignore the Argentinian superstar.
Last year, he got eliminated from the World Cup after a close but painful 2:3 defeat against Marcuzo in the quarterfinals despite holding onto the best record in the group stage (6-1-0). This year, however, he looks stronger, better and far more experienced as he aims to win his first-ever title ($4.50) or at least climb his way to the finals ($2.62).
Donovan "Tekkz" Hunt; The F2, Xbox
Last but not least, we have got the outright favorite to win the tournament, Donovan "Tekkz" Hunt, who has proven throughout this year he is a class above his competition. The 17-year-old has achieved the unthinkable this season, as he became the first pro ever to reach 10,000 Series points, however, he went well beyond that benchmark. Finishing with 13,265 points to his name, Tekkz was by far the strongest player on the FIFA 19 Xbox Global Rankings, which he achieved by winning 7 events.
Despite all of his incredible achievements and results, this will be Tekkz's first-ever eWorld Cup, after failing to qualify for it last season, meaning he has a lot to prove to compensate for his missed chance last time out.
Prediction
It's hard to look past how dominant Donovan "Tekkz" Hunt was this year and how big of a favorite he is to win the event ($2.75). His long list of achievements stretches throughout the whole year and he will look to complete it with an eWorld Cup title. Still, other players will look to do the same. Most notable Msdossary, who will aim to win his second consecutive title this August, which, with the stacked competition will be easier said than done.
While it's hard to imagine Msdossary will be as dominant as last year, we at least expect him to finish deep into the tournament. Defeating nicolas99fc on the way to the finals will most likely prove to be his hardest hurdle to jump over, nonetheless, we believe Mossad "Msdossary" Aldossary has enough experience to do so, which is why we will back him to reach the finals for the second year in a row ($5.00).
When it comes to predicting the winner of the eWorld Cup, we do not feel comfortable going against Donovan "Tekkz" Hunt. What he has achieved this season is just ridiculous, and while he might not have the experience of playing at the World Cup, he has more than enough skill and momentum on his side to cruise straight to the top of the world's elite.
