Super Rugby Round 10 Betting Tips
Chiefs vs Lions (Friday, Apr 19 5:35pm)
Friday night Super Rugby sees a crucial clash between the 3-4-1 Chiefs and the 4-4 Lions. With the Chiefs massive injury woes, they'll still start as favourites for this home clash. They've lost Damian McKenzie for the season and Retallick/Harris may miss this clash. It's a blow to the Chiefs who've returned to form with 3 straight victories after a poor start to the season. Coming into this road game, the Lions will have their captain Warren Whiteley back in the lineup and that should help them overturn a 2 game losing streak. They'll also look to rebound from a disappointing 31-20 loss against the Brumbies. These two sides haven't played each other since 2016 and the Lions did win at this venue 36-32. With the Chiefs injury problems, the Lions at the line looks the best bet. At this venue after a win, the Chiefs are just 5-11 ATS.
Sunwolves vs Hurricanes (Friday, Apr 19 8:00pm)
The Sunwolves are back in Japan on Friday night as they host the 5-2-1 Hurricanes. In the two games at this venue in 2019, the Sunwolves have lost by 3 points against the Reds and a single point against the Waratahs. So the underdog line does look enticing. In the only 2 Super Rugby meetings, the Hurricanes do hold a massive 126-32 advantage. But there should be a chance for the home side as the Hurricanes rest some of their best players for this trip. Which includes the Barrett brothers and Ardie Savea. They're also not known for their travelling record in recent seasons and that should see the Sunwolves get within 16.5 points on their home turf.
Sharks vs Reds (Friday, Apr 19 11:05pm)
The Reds began their South African trip with a 32-17 loss against the Bulls and now face another test against the Sharks in Durban. But the Sharks form is hard to read at the moment. They smashed the Lions on the road 42-5 and then followed that up with a 51-17 home loss against the Jaguares. Interestingly, the Reds have played 3 straight close games against the Sharks at this venue since 2010. But looking at the Sharks form, it's hard to know which side will turn up. That makes this a safe no bet.

Highlanders vs Blues (Saturday, Apr 20 5:35pm)
The only NZ rivalry matchup of Round 2 will be the Highlanders hosting the Blues in Dunedin on Saturday night. This is a crucial home game for the Highlanders after a 2-5-1 start to the season. They were no match for the Crusaders last week in a 43-17 loss but they're a much better side on their home turf. As such, they've won 8 of their last 10 here. The Blues impressive 4 game winning streak came to end last week as the Chiefs won 33-29. While they haven't won in Dunedin for a long time, the most recent meetings have all been close. Since 2012, the average winning margin is just 6.66 points so that should see another close rivalry matchup between these two teams.

Waratahs vs Rebels (Saturday, Apr 20 7:45pm)
Super Rugby action returns to Australia at the SCG with the Waratahs taking on the Rebels. This is a huge game for the Waratahs as they look to bridge the gap between themselves and the Rebels in the AUS Conference. They're not playing great Rugby at the moment with a 1-3 record and a home loss against the Sunwolves in one of those games. Meanwhile, the Rebels are looking to rebound from a 41-24 home loss against the Stormers. Their record as an away team against NSW is very poor at 7-1 SU and they've given up 50 or more points in the last 2 games played in Sydney. So in the end, this is a matchup that could go either way with a large margin, which is reflected in the odds with no real favourite. Safe no bet.

Stormers vs Brumbies (Saturday, Apr 20 11:05pm)
Round 10 ends in South Africa as the Stormers host the Brumbies. The home side finally found some points last week as they crushed the Rebels 41-24 in Melbourne. It was a perfect end to a poor away trip and they should enjoy playing at home in front of their fans. The Brumbies head to SA with winning form as well after an impressive 31-20 home win over the Lions. In the last 7 meetings, the Stormers hold a slight 4-3 advantage but the Brumbies don't have a bad record here. ACT lost 31-11 in 2016 but smashed them 39-19 in 2015. The Brumbies have a 3-2 line record at DHL Newlands since 2010 and this should be a close contest.
