As the 2025 AFL Premiership Season’s Gather Round has all 18 teams playing, we once again get a full three game slate this Sunday. Things get underway with Richmond and Fremantle playing at Barossa Park. Then we get an exciting contest between two sides currently sitting 3-1 on the season as St Kilda and the GWS Giants play at Norwood Oval. The ngihtcap and bookend to the round will then be between home town team Port Adleaide and one of the premuirship favourites Hawthorn at Adeladie Oval.
As always for us daily fatnasy is the key attraction of the day and Draftstars have us covered with a suite of contests including a massive $60,000 main across the three game game slate. In addition, there are a variety of alternate contests:

Weather
Adelaide – 32 degrees and sunny
The Gather Round heat wave continues this Sunday making conditions beautiful for football and no impact on our fantasy scoring.
Where to Attack?
The starting point for this slate will be attacking the Tigers. It would come as no surprise that they are giving up the second most points in the league to key forwards this season at over 7 points above league average. This trend is expected to continue with the Dockers almost 40 point favourites. The truth is you can load up against Richmond in the midfield and across the backline as well so Fremantle Dockers stacks will be a very popular strategy on this slate.
The other two games are much tougher to decipher with all teams conceding below average fantasy points so far this season. You can potentially go to the historic trend of loading backs against the Saints, however that has not been as evident this year. Alternatively consider Port Adelaide backs against Hawks as this has been a position where Hawthorn have conceded above average points so far in 2025.
Game Script – Fremantle forwards and midfielders
VALUE PLAYS
Hugo Garcia ($9,020) / Marcus Windhager ($9,430) both have been attending over 60% of the centre bounces for the Saints over the past two weeks. Now we do note that Jack Steele has come back into the lineup this week, which means one will likely be moved onto another position so consider that when rostering. Windhager will likely be tagging but he has shown scoring potential in this role with a 113 point game against Geelong earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Garcia went ballistic in the midfield two weeks ago with 110 points against the Tigers. Love the potential upside on this slate from both of these players.
Bailey Banfield ($7,860) is one of several options in the Fremantle forward line that can be stacked up here. He is coming off back-to-back games of 50 and 60 fantasy points, which isn’t huge, but this should be their biggest win of the season. Banfield has the ability to push up the ground and hit the scoreboard.
MID PRICED PLAYS
Josh Treacy ($12,780) is the number one target for the Dockers up forward and has been having an elite season, averaging 85 points per game over his last three matches. This included a 91 point game and a 100 point game. This will be the easiest game of the lot against the Tigers and he will see his potential upside of over 110 points, and I love leading off my Fremantle stacks with him up forward.
Sean Darcy ($11,810) / Hayden Young ($12,960) are both nicely priced compared to their usual output as they are coming back from injury. Darcy will have one of the top matchups in the league against the Tigers who have been giving up over 8 points per game above league average to the position this year. I would typically be a bit hesitant with Darcy coming back from injury but given Luke Jackson is out and will not be splitting ruck duties with him, I am expecting we should at least return value in this matchup, if not more.
Young is the missing the piece to the midfield for the Dockers who have been stuck rolling with a combination of Matthew Johnson and Jaeger O’Meara behind their starting duo of Brayshaw and Serong. Young was elite through the middle last year averaging in the 100 point range and should slot right back in at a budget price for his expected output.
PREMIUM PLAYS
Caleb Serong ($16,840)… we are going to start with the head of the snake in our Docker stacks in the midfield. Serong had a slow start to the year fantasy wise due to tags but has since returned back-to-back 100+ point games including 121 last week. The Tigers may look to tag with McIntosh but Brayshaw looks a more natural fit for that role. Either way, if Fremantle take care of business to the point they are expected to, I expect a big score from Serong.
