Friday night of Gather Round for the 2025 AFL Premiership season will see another blockbuster game with Collingwood playing Sydney. The Magpies have had a great start to the season after a dismal opening round, winning their last three games and sitting 6th on the ladder. A win here would see them push towards the top four. Meanwhile, the Swans have won their last two games to get back to 2-2 and will be keen for another win as they are currently sitting just outside the top 8.
As always this is all about the daily fantasy and this massive Friday night game draws another massive $70,000 prize pool at Draftstars in it’s main contest. In addition, there are a variety of alternate contests:
AFL $70,000+ Magpies vs Swans
AFL $5,000+ Magpies vs Swans High Roller ($150 Entry)
AFL $3,000+ Magpies vs Swans Mini ($2 Entry)
The AFL Star contest is back again for 2025 and Draftstars are once again offering the biggest prize pool in Australian DFS history with a $1 million guaranteed final with $250,000 top prize! There are qualifiers and satellites running for every AFL match.

Weather
27 degrees and sunny. Perfect conditions in Adelaide for football. Let's play some fantasy!
Where to Attack?
Both Collingwood and Sydney are holding teams to very low fantasy scores through the start of the season. The only positions where either team is giving up above average fantasy points are inside midfielders for Collingwood and designated kickers for Sydney (by a whisper).
Game Script – Sydney inside midfielders and forwards
VALUE PLAYS
Riley Bice ($9,820) is the absolutely revelation of the week. Fresh off his a massive 124-point fantasy game last week, he has played three straight quality games of football (including his first game as the sub). His price has gone up after last week, but his role across half back looks favourable, where he has been splitting kick in duties with Matt Roberts. There has been some whispers about the Magpies potentially tagging Bice this week, which would be unprecedented in his fourth game, but just keep an ear out closer to the bounce.
Angus Sheldrick ($7,780) should get a full game this week and that will mean more opportunity through the midfield. Sheldrick has always shown fantasy scoring ability from under age to the AFL when he gets inside midfield time. On a single game slate, this makes him a solid value play at this price point.
MID PRICED PLAYS
Scott Pendlebury ($12,360) was back to his best last week with 100 fantasy points and a mainstay in the midfield. With Jordan De Goey out this week, we can expect a similar role (over 60% of CBAs) for Pendlebury this week and every opportunity to be the Magpies leading midfield fantasy scorer at this price point. If you are looking for alternative at this price range, Harry Perryman ($11,890) will also be a given consistent midfield time and is coming off a 90-point game last week.
PREMIUM PLAYS
Darcy Cameron ($15,590) has been absolutely dominant in the ruck this season playing mainly as the sole ruckman for the Magpies. He is averaging just under 100 points on the season but three of his four games have been over 100 including two games over 125 points. Brody Grundy will be sharing duties with Ladhams at times and faces a sub risk so this looks a better option to spend up and lock in the more certain points return at the position on a single game slate.
TAG WATCH
James Jordan ($9,280) has been doing hard tag roles in the midfield. The obvious candidate for him this week will be to play a hard run with role on Nick Daicos, so just a warning to fade Daicos on this slate.
