Super Rugby Pacific Round 6 Betting Tips
Highlanders vs Queensland Reds
Saturday March 22, 2.35pm AEDT
The game being played in New Zealand is probably why the Highlanders are favourite. Narrow loss to the Hurricanes last week, losing 20-19 in a hard fought, close finish. They do have a pretty good record when playing in New Zealand and take on the Reds, who don't have the best of records in New Zealand but have to be respected off the back of a dominant win last week against the Waratahs and have pretty much put their cards on the table as the #1 Australian team. But, in order to do that, I think they need to start winning in New Zealand and get a great chance here.
New South Wales Waratahs vs ACT Brumbies
Saturday March 22, 7.35pm AEDT
Gee the Waratahs were disappointing last week against the Reds in what shaped up as a mini contender battle as to who can challenge the ACT Brumbies for being the top Australian team. They didn't fire a shot, which was ordinary given what was at stake, and keep in mind that with the British & Irish Lions Tour approaching, Wallabies spots are up for grabs. The Brumbies were comfortable at home last week when beating Fijian Drua but this will be a much stiffer contest, especially with the Waratahs at home, and on the bounce back.
Western Force vs Fijian Drua
Sunday March 23, 5.05pm AEDT
I was astounded when the Team lists came out last week for last round and the Force decided to rest five players. There was only four rounds played prior to that decision so I couldn't work that out and they rightfully got whacked by the Crusaders. They have a full-strength team, and the only reason I can think of as to why they rested, was because they thought they had none against the Crusaders, freshen up and play at home full strength against Drua, who are getting better with each game but I do think the Force, back at home, are a great bet.
