The Valley continues to host Friday night racing in Summer with eight races booked for punting. The first gets underway at 6:15pm (AEDT), with the last finishing a touch after 9:45pm. Surprisingly gallopers will be running on a Soft 5 track but I would be monitoring conditions because there has been very little rain in the area at the time of typing. The Ladbrokes 55 second challenge continues as does Heats of the Middle Distance Series. My three best bets of the night are below!

Moonee Valley Racing Tips: Friday, February 14th 2025
Race 3: Manhari Plate - 7:15pm (AEDT)
(9) Kaddari is second up here after finishing 4th behind Sirena at Lakeside last start. The run was okay and she will be fitter now for Robbie Griffiths and Blake Shinn who rides. She was slow out last time and if she improves her barrier manners here, she can be strong to the line. Barrier 9 is a slight worry but Shinn might be positive here.
(4) Lady’s Job Is Done is the likely leader here and if she can pinch cheap sections she can run a big race at odds.
(6) Dreams almost got there at Pakenham last start when 3rd and will likely settle outside of Lady’s Job Is Done. Ethan Brown stays on and she is the likely favourite.
(9) Kaddari WIN
$3.00 (2 Units)
Race 7: The Evergreen Turf Valley Summer Middle Distance Series Heat 2. 9:15pm (AEDT)
(8) Tarvue had barrier 2 when winning at Pakenham on a Good track last start and she gets a similar barrier in 1 here. She goes forward in her races and probably wants an upgrade in track conditions because she goes better on Good tracks. She is fitter now and is 1 from 1 when Ben Allen has been on top.
(3) Eye For An Eye will go forward with Thomas Stockdale on and he has placed over this trip previously. He won’t mind if there is a track upgrade either.
(4) Lygon Street Luigi has drawn wide in 10 but if the track remains Soft is a big chance because he has never missed a place over his distance and he likes this track.
(8) Tarvue Each-Way
$3.80/$1.65 (1U/2U)
Race 8: The Orbit Logistics Summer Sprint Series Heat 3- 9:45pm (AEDT)
(7) Time Lapse gets the inside draw here and being a leader, I think he hunts up and leads all of the way here for the Moody & Coleman stable. On February 6 at Pakenham he led and won well on a track where it's hard to lead all of the way and I think he can repeat that effort with another senior jockey in Blake Shinn who replaces Damien Lane. He has drawn the inside in previous starts and it seems he likes the rails.
(3) Enright might sit on the outside of Time Lapse and he is in form after an impressive win at Geelong on January 15. This looks harder but he does like the 1200m.
(4) Documentary won well at this track on debut but I fear he gets too far back in this with so many on-pace runners in the race. Should run on for a Place though.
(7) Time Lapse Each-Way
$4.20/$1.55 (1U/2U)
