Randwick hosts an eight-race card on Thursday with the feature race being the BM78 Anzac Day Cup, which is run in Race 7 on the card. Race 1 starts at 12:45pm (AEST), while the last concludes at 4:50pm. The rail is in the TRUE position this week, and our selections are for a SOFT track with fine weather predicted – watch and monitor for any pattern if possible.

Race 6: The Australian Imperial Force BM72 1000m - 3:40pm (AEST)
(1) Heuristic $6.50/$2.10: 3YO who boasts a nice record thus far where he has only missed the trifecta on one occasion. He is yet to score first up, but comes into this race with four trials under his belt and gets a nice booking of J Mac. Loves the weather effected tracks so should be right in this here and looks capable of firing first up over 1000m sprint. Goes well.
(2) Jedibeel $3.80: 4YO gelding who resumes today with two trials under his belt wit the most recent being a very handy one. Draws a nice gate here and looks a great chance fresh. Early market support builds confidence. Goes well.

Race 7: The Anzac Day Cup BM78 1800m – 4:15pm (AEST)
(1) City Of Lights $3.30: 4YO mare who is a sister to WINX and has a terrific record to date. Rock hard fit now for this fourth up run and is proven over this track/trip. Also runs well on the weather effected track so shouldn’t have any trouble. Has since trailed since winning over this track/trip last start and takes on similar company again. Draws wide, but tends to get back and launches late, so if she can get a nice cart up she will be storming home late to pick them up.
(2) Zouatica $6.00/$2.15: 4YO gelding who has been racing well and comes into this off a nice win over the mile at Gosford and looks capable of tackling 1800m. Gets in well with a 3kg claim here, so expect another bold run here and soaks up the weather effected tracks too.
