PGA Tour Butterfield Bermuda Championship Betting Tips
Port Royal Golf Course, Thursday 9th - Sunday 12th November
Solid week in PGA Tour betting tips last week as we hit on Beau Hossler to finish in the top 10 at decent odds. We’ll be hunting more winners as the PGA Tour heads to Bermuda this weekend.
The Course
Located in the center of Bermuda, Port Royal Golf Course stands as a golfing treasure meticulously crafted by Robert Trent Jones. Spanning 6,828 yards with a Par-71 layout, it offers stunning vistas of the Atlantic Ocean and provides golfers with a mix of coastal breezes and rolling fairways, making it a formidable challenge.
In case the wind intensifies, it will favor those players who display patience and possess experience. This week, the crucial factor will be effective course management and the capacity to shape shots in different directions when the wind becomes stronger. Given the varied landscape at Port Royal, errant shots off the fairways can come at a high cost.
Achieving greens in regulation is of utmost importance, and this task becomes even more challenging if the wind becomes a significant factor. Considering that the average winning score is -18, a strong and quick start is essential.
The Field
We are counting down the weeks until the cream of the crop come back to the PGA Tour, because once again this week, we have a field that is greatly lacking top end talent. The biggest name teeing it up this week is without doubt Adam Scott, who will be looking to win his first PGA Tour event since back in 2020.
Other top names in the field include Thomas Detry, Brendon Todd, Lucas Glover and Alex Noren. Past winners of the Bermuda Championship who will be looking to add another trophy to the case include Lucas Herbert, Brian Gay and Glover.
Betting Tips
Lucas Herbert ($21/Top 20 $2.15)
Really like the look of Aussie Lucas Herbert in the lead up to this one. Has made the cut in three of his last four tournaments, finishing inside the top 31 in those three starts. Won in Bermuda last time he was there for his maiden PGA Tour victory back in 2021 and is really in the top class when it comes to this field.
Brian Gay ($176/Top 20 $6.00)
Opting for another past winner here in Brian Gay who I think is way overpriced at around $170. Although he missed the cut in his last start, he was in some strong form before that, finishing 10th, 5th and 11th in three of his previous four tournaments. Knows the course extremely well, being one of the few in the field to play in all four editions of this tournament, finishing 3rd, 1st, 12th and 11th over the past four seasons.
