Vicente Luque vs. Rafael dos Anjos
Vicente Luque comes into this weekend’s fight against former champion Rafael dos Anjos on a two-fight losing streak. The once overhyped prospect put the division on notice when he burst onto the scene and stopped the likes of Michael Chiesa, Tyron Woodley and Belal Muhammad. Since then he has dropped down the rankings to where he currently sits outside the top 10.
Rafael dos Anjos has jumped around since relinquishing the title. His move back to 170 pounds after being knocked out late last year by Rafael Fiziev saw him return to the win column with a submission win over Bryan Barberena. In my opinion, the only area Luque has the advantage in this fight is power. I have long been one to fade Luque as to me he was fed some favourable matchups for his style.
RDA has evolved from what he was when he was dominated by Colby Covington and Leon Edwards and his kickboxing game has really come on the past two years. Add to that his wrestling and the fact he holds the advantage on the mat and it is his fight to lose.

Khalil Rountree vs. Chris Daukaus
Khalil Rountree is a strong kickboxer with some serious one-shot knockout power. His opponent Chris Daukaus was at one point in time a Heavyweight prospect but he is now on a three-fight skid and drops to Light Heavyweight for this bout.
Rountree is one of the strongest and most explosive Light Heavyweights so if Daukaus thought by dropping he wouldn’t be meeting as much power then he is horribly mistaken. His key to victory will be making it a dog fight and wearing on Rountree. However, my gut feeling is Rountree blasts him with kicks to the legs and body before finding a home for a big shot to the head and putting Daukaus to sleep.

Jaqueline Amorim vs. Montserrat Ruiz
Jaqueline Amorim built a solid 6-1 record off a stint in the LFA where she managed to win the Strawweight title. In her UFC debut, however, she fell to Sam Hughes largely due to cardio issues.
However, I am happy to write that off as an error that will not happen a second time as she had historically stopped every opponent in the first round before that loss and all of one of them in the opening two minutes.
Montserrat Ruiz is the most one-dimensional fighter in the UFC. She has a great head and arm throw but some abysmal striking defence and on the ground has very little other than some solid base wrestling. I expect Amorim to demolish her early but grant that Ruiz is tough and therefore will just back the former LFA champ to get her hand raised.
