The UFC returns to Las Vegas, Nevada this weekend for a card headlined by a Middleweight bout between Marvin Vettori and Jared Cannonier. In the co-main rising Lightweight Arman Tsarukyan faces Joaquim Silva and Armen Petrosyan and Christian Duncan go toe to toe in an intriguing Middleweight bout. We take a look at my best bets on this weekend’s UFC card below.
UFC Fight Night Preview & Betting Tips
Marvin Vettori vs. Jared Cannonier
Both these men’s shot at the title will be a few fights away as Israel Adesanya cemented himself back atop of the Middleweight division and contender Robert Whittaker appears to have their measure. However, they both come into this fight off wins, with Vettori beating Roman Dolidze and Cannonier turning away Sean Strickland. Before that both men were comprehensively beaten by the champ.
Vettori is the more well-rounded of the two fighters but I just do not think he will be able to control the exchanges against someone as explosive as ‘The Killa Gorilla’. I also don’t see him being able to grind him down like he has other heavy hitters and Cannonier has only struggled with those strong elusive strikers like Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker. Back Cannonier to register another win this weekend as a slight underdog.

Arman Tsarukyan vs. Joaqim Silva
So these odds are skinny but in my opinion there is no more one-sided fight in the UFC this year than this one and it is utterly puzzling as to why the UFC made this match up. Arman Tsarukyan wins this however he wants.
He is my dark horse of the Lightweight division, even taking down champ Islam Makhachev in a back-and-forth affair a couple of fights ago. His only other UFC loss was to standout wrestler Mateusz Gamrot by razor tight decision. Tsarukyan is a brilliant grappler with improving striking to boot as shown with knockout victories in his recent fights and he is one to watch moving forward.
Joaquim Silva has won just a single fight since 2019 over Jesse Ronson who after the defeat was cut from the UFC. He has decent jiu jitsu but tends to crumble under pressure and fold like a lawn chair. This is just going to be a one-sided beat down and so I am happy to collect the easy profit.

Pat Sabatini vs. Lucas Almeida
I really like this match up for Pat Sabatini against Brazil’s Lucas Almeida. The American was progressing nicely before being stopped by Damon Jackson in his last fight. Almeida has had a handful of bouts cancelled but secured a knockout victory in his sole UFC fight to date. However, I don’t think he will be able to deal with Sabatini’s wrestling and pressure. Almeida’s only professional loss came on the Contender Series to Daniel Zellhuber and it was decisive. Back Sabatini to return to the winner’s circle by controlling the centre and mixing in takedowns.
