The UFC heads back to the US for this weekend’s Fight Night card, headlined by Bantamweight contenders Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera and Cory Sandhagen. In the co-main former champion Holly Holm faces prospect Yana Kunitskaya and Maycee Barber returns against Andrea Lee. We take a look at my three best bets on the card below.

UFC Fight Night Betting Tips
Marlon Vera vs. Cory Sandhagen
Marlon Vera continues to burn me when I think he will fall short. I thought he would get beat by both Rob Font and Jose Aldo and boy was I wrong. While I am therefore hesitant to back against him again, I just have to as I do not have him as championship calibre, whereas I believe his opponent Cory Sandhagen is. The Sandman comes into this fight on the back of a knockout win over Song Yadong but before that suffered back-to-back defeats to Petr Yan and TJ Dillashaw. Where this fight becomes interesting is Sandhagen has only been finished once and that was to dominant champion Aljamain Sterling while Vera has never been finished in his UFC career. Both men have strong and rather unorthodox stand-up games and are adept on the mat. I just think whether he gets the finish or not Sandhagen has more tools in his arsenal and will have a higher output than Chito, so I am going with the American to get back into title contention with a win this weekend.

Manuel Torres vs. Trey Ogden
Trey Ogden is my best bet on this card and it is because I was incredibly impressed with how he bounced back from a defeat to Jordan Leavitt last time out where he derailed top prospect Daniel Zellhuber who was undefeated at the time. Ogden’s durability mixed with his wrestling and submission skills is too much for Torres to handle. While I think there could be some sketchy moments early, Ogden weathers the storm and pulls away as the rounds go on. I have the odds flipped and fully expect the Samurai Ghost to get his hand raised.

Victor Altamirano vs. Vinicius Salvador
Victor Altamirano secured narrow victories over Carlos Candelario and Carlos Hernandez before rallying last time out to beat Daniel Da Silva after being knocked down. His opponent Vinicius Salvador is cut from a similar cloth to Da Silva in the fact he is a knockout or bust type of fighter. However, simply put Salvador has too much for Altamirano and it just boils down to if he can keep it standing. Altamirano has a taekwondo background and while he does prefer to take it down and use submissions, I just see him being smacked in the face before that becomes a reality. Back the Brazilian to secure the victory in devastating fashion.
