UFC 283 Preview & Betting Tips
Jamahal Hill vs. Glover Teixeira
Glover Teixeira opens as the underdog in almost every fight yet continues to defy both the odds and father time. This fight against Jamahal Hill will be for the vacant Light Heavyweight title after Jiri Prochazka sustained a long-term shoulder injury. This narrative is simply can Teixeira take Hill’s power and speed but really I can’t see any proof that he can’t. He was only overcome late by Prochazka in a fight he was almost certainly winning until the dying moments and he is as dangerous of a striker as anyone in the division. Add to the mix Hill has always had issues with far less skilled takedown artists than the Brazilian and the underdog odds look awfully enticing. Bak Teixeira to regain his title in front of an adoring crowd.

Brandon Moreno vs. Deiveson Figueiredo
Brandon Moreno I believe was too cocky in his last fight against Deiveson Figueiredo where even still in my opinion he was still hard done by to lose by decision. The pair meet here for the fourth time and each encounter has been exciting. In their first bout they went to war with nothing to split them, with the fight ending in a draw. In their second clash Moreno absolutely dominated the Brazilian, securing a third-round submission and in the third they went a hard 25 minutes in a fight I personally scored in favour of the Mexican. At this point in their respective careers, I see Moreno winning this four times out of five. He is faster, more versatile and has the higher output. I expect Moreno to regain the belt that is rightfully his.

Ismael Bonfim vs. Terrance McKinney
Ismael Bonfim enters the fight this weekend against Terrance McKinney on a 12-fight winning streak where he’s spent his recent fights slogging it out in the LFA before winning his Contender Series bout against Nariman Abbasov to earn a shot in the UFC. Terrance McKinney is an all or nothing fighter. All of his wins in his career are by stoppage and all but one have come in the first round. I really like McKinney to secure the quick stoppage here solely because Bonfim has been put on the back foot before against much lesser opponents. I won’t be going overboard but I like the play on McKinney as I see him overwhelming Bonfim before he has a clue what has happened.
