It’s a good Wednesday of racing today with Rosehill playing host to a strong seven race card.
The weather has been heating up in Sydney this week and we should see perfect racing conditions today.
As always, Billy Bestford highlights his best bets to help you find a winner.
Rosehill Racing Tips: Wednesday November 16th
Race 1
Think (1) Oriental Tycoon should be ready to win now 3rd up from a spell. Went around $1.75 last time out where he missed the start and was always going to struggle from there. McDonald jumps on now and I think Rosehill should suit this horse. Looks hard to beat.
The extra 200m will suit (2) High Blue Sea who hit the line strongly first up to run 2nd. Fitter for that run now and I did like his work at the trials leading into that effort.
(5) Shihab went around favourite last start but could only manage 3rd. Looks a horse who will improve over a trip. Berry on board is a tick.
(4) Personal best looks the other winning chance in this race.
(1) Oriental Tycoon

Race 3
(6) Airman was well-supported first up and got the job done in weaker grade. He’s now 2/2 and this looks a great stepping stone for him to make his way through the grades. Think he has a bit more upside than most of these and gets in we’ll after the 3kg claim.
(7) Silver City made it back to back wins this prep when finishing strongly at Newcastle over 1250m. The horse he beat that day has since come out and won. He can continue to progress.
(1 Banju will find this easier than the race he contested at Randwick on cup day. Has solid 2nd up form and will make own luck up near the speed.
(10) Comrade Rosa started favourite in this grade first up and ran into 4th on a day it was tough to make ground. Will take plenty of improvement out of that and her best is plenty good enough.
(6) Airman

Race 5
I’m with (7) Newley Wed here who I’ve always thought has shown a bit of talent. He has some solid form around him last prep and will enjoy rising to this trip for the first time. Think he can improve getting back on top of the ground and expect Berry gives him every hope from a nice gate.
(5) Typhoon Tavi was only run down late by a handy one and she should be hard fit for this 4th up. Will take some catching.
(2) Our Belle Fille could be a touch value as she nears peak fitness now. Rising to this trip looks ideal for her and I think her best form is good enough for a race like this.
(1) Deel Street goes in search of a fourth straight win today. Jockey Anna Roper has been on board for all of those and this horse is sure to be in the finish once again.
(7) Newley Wed
