Racing in Melbourne this Saturday takes place at Flemington for a strong nine race program.
The track is currently rated a soft 7 with the rail out 9 metres the entire circuit. a slight chance of rain come race day we could see a downgrade into the heavy range. I think a soft 7/heavy 8 looks the likely conditions for race day.

Flemington Racing Tips: Saturday June 4th
Race 4
Like the chances of the unbeaten (3) Natural Mystic here as he looks to make three straight wins to start his career. Dug deep on debut before looking extremely impressive when stretching out to this 2000m trip last time. Will make own luck up on speed and give another strong sight.
(2) Elzamee has been in great form this prep and only poor run has come on a bog track in the ATC Derby. Bounced back to form last start with a strong win and form has stacked up all around him.
(6) Yellowbrick Road was smashed first up on local debut. Caught wide there and just didn’t have much go right. Obviously so much upside to come from him and worth forgiving. Can improve here.
(4) Alverdun might be able to lead these up in a race that lacks genuine front-running types. Might be able to get away with a cheap run and could prove hard to catch.
(3) Natural Mystic

Race 6
(10) Kissinger looks ready now 3rd up getting out to 2000m. Was rising from 1400m last start when covering ground over 1800m and did well to stick on there. Looks to get a much nicer run today. Think he’s come back in good form and happy to have something on him now at the price.
(14) Excelleration is another who looks ready for 2000m now. 4th up he is hard fit and can roll forward today and give them something to run down.
No doubt (6) Lyrical Lad is right in this and is knocking on the door for another win. If he runs the trip he will be hard to beat.
(1) Duke Of Plumton has been building well this prep and has a great 3rd up record. Any rain will be a big benefit to his chances.

Race 7
(8) Cardinal Gem is screaming out to win a race and gets his best chance now. Two massive runs this prep from the back of the field and from barrier 6 today he could settle a touch handier. With even luck in the run I think he will be too strong for these late.
1400 seems to be the key to (2) Adele Armour who is now unbeaten at three runs over this trip. The latest of those was impressive, making up good ground late. Looks well placed down on 54kg after the claim and she’s flying this prep.
(3) Jimmy The Bear held off Cardinal Gem last start when racing wide throughout. No knock on that win and he’s still on the up. I think CG turns the tables here.
(12) Tuahine was super impressive winning on local debut. Bolted in there and the runner up has since come out and won. I’m sure she will only be better suited up to 1400m.

Race 9
Looks a pretty exciting horse this (9) Passive Aggressive and I think she is set up to make three wins on the bounce. Jumped to the lead on debut and bolted in before handling plenty of pressure last start and kicking away for another strong win. Thrown right into the deep end here but so much upside about her and she could be group class. I think as long as she handles the straight, she will be hard to beat yet again.
(5) Squid Game could be worth having something on here 2nd up. Was a winner up the Flemington straight at his only 2nd up run so far and just didn’t have things pan out well when fresh. He’s got plenty of ability.
(6) Treporti was good running on hard first up behind Star Patrol who looks very smart. That was a great return for a horse who is yet to miss the top 4 in all career runs to date. Likes racing here at Flemington.
(3) Kooled is flying for the new stable and any give in the track would be a big help to his chances. Looks one for the exotics.
(1) Dragonstone is ultra consistent and comes down from Sydney for his first run in Victoria. He’s no slouch and the form around him up there is very strong. Hasn’t seen a dry track for a while so might be what he is looking for?
