Caulfield hosts a 10-race program on Saturday with the Group 2 Zipping Classic being the highlight which commences in Race 8. There is a lot of rain predicted to fall on the day as 30mls is tipped to fall over the region, so the track will be in the Slow to Heavy range. Race 1 starts at 12:20pm (AEDT), and Brendan Bunworth provides his best bets for the day below!
Caulfield Racing Tips: Saturday, November 30th 2024
Race 4: Sportsbet Twilight Glow Handicap - 2pm (AEDT)
(2) She’s Got Pizzazz goes on top here after winning comfortable at Kilmore two starts back. She then got back and ran on very well at this track for 5th last start and I think Blake Shinn will settle a little closer in this event before she winds up late again. She will need luck after drawing the inside but she has Place in both starts on a Soft track.
(12) On Display also ran on very well here last start when she was last on the turn but then finished 3rd. The rise in distance looks ideal but she hasn’t race on rain affected ground yet.
(11) Deep Pleasure is the stable mate of On Display and will be a few lengths in front of her in the run. Deep Pleasure should get an ideal run in around 4th and if they go slow, she might be the one. The in-form Ethan Brown goes on.
(2) She’s Got Pizzazz

Race 7: Lamaro’s Hotel Eclipse Stakes Group 3 - 3:45pm (AEDT)
(2) New Energy has had four runs without placing but they have been in much harder races than this. He was only 3L behind Mr. B and Antino last start in the Group 1 Cantala and you would suggest that his rivals wouldn't get within 3L of those two. The Maher stable will now want to see improvement though and despite going to the 1800m for the first time, he is fit enough with four runs under his belt this prep.
(4) Apulia was backed to win last start by the Punters but he ran an honest 3rd. He is ready now after a couple of runs after an injury recovering spell and he has won on the Soft before.
(12) Poison Chalice was a beaten favourite when 4th at Flemington last start but he looks like he will position up well in this from barrier 3. He is 1 from 1 over the 1800m.
(2) New Energy
$4.50 (1 Unit)
Race 8: Quayclean Zipping Classic Group 2 - 4:25pm (AEDT)
(13) Star Vega will get back in the run but he has proven that he can wind up late. He flew home when Smokin’ Romans beat him last start The Freedman trained gelding has done most of his racing on Dry track but at double figure odds I can see him flashing home late. He has placed at Caulfield before He was only 1.9L behind the favourite of this race in Kingswood but is close to $10 more in the market. In the last five starts the worst he has finished is 4th and he is right in this.
(9) Mankayan is hard to catch these days but he is one that loves rain affected ground. He has been in the money on 7 occasions over this distance and can Place again at big odds.
(15) Little Mix is having her fourth run in for this prep and should be cherry ripe now. She loves wet tracks and by race 8 the track may be feeling the pinch. At 12-1 she is overs I think and the 2400m is of no issues.
