After racing on Thursday afternoon, Caulfield Heath will back up with a Saturday meeting in Melbourne this week. Race 1 starts at 12:15pm (AEDT), and the track will remain Good with clear skies in the area. The last of 10 concludes at 5:40pm (AEDT) and one of my three plays of the day will feature!
Caulfield Heath Racing Tips: Saturday, December 14th 2024
Race 2: Ive Print Handicap - 12:45pm (AEDT)
(3) Flying Mikki gets the three kilogram claim here with Tom Prebble on top and I think that will make the difference in what is an even affair. This guy enjoys Good tracks, having already won on three occasions in his short career and the 1200m is his pet distance. From barrier 9 Prebble will look to settle one out, one back in this I reckon, similar to the position of when he won at Moe.
(4) Rivkin has drawn wide in 11 but will come over anyway with his quick starting ways. Rises 200m in distance from his Warrnambool placing last time and gets a new jockey (Dakotah Keane). May likes rain affected tracks more than what he gets here though which is a concern.
(12) Attain likes this distance and is pretty good Place odds here. He drops 3kg and he did run well last start. Over the odds.
(3) Flying Mikki Each-Way
$5.00/$1.95 (1 Unit)
Race 6: Magic Millions VIC 3yo and 4yo Classic - 3:05pm (AEDT)
(3) Mirval Rose hasn’t won in more than a year but she gets a suitable race here. Last start she was 3rd behind Kin and I reckon Kin would destroy this lot. The extra 100m looks ideal here and from barrier 7 I think Saffron Osborne will place the mare in around 4th position in the run. She has raced in multiple Listed races previously and has looked up to the class. This race is not hard.
(7) Yes Lulu is one from one at The Heath and does have Maher in her corner. Her better runs have been on the Soft thought which she won’t get here.
(2) Harry Got Styles has drawn the inside and he can use his early dash to position up handy or he could lead this lot. Should improve with running over the 1200m for the second time and a fourth win for the campaign wouldn’t particularly surprise.
(3) Mirval Rose WIN

Race 10: Sportsbet More Places Handicap - 5:40pm (AEDT)
(7) Zou Sensation is flying and can win again here I reckon. Since a two-month spell he has run a good 3rd and then won two in a row. Ben Allen sticks with him here which i think is important and the Zoustar gelding remains at his favourite distance where he has won on four occasions. The Good track seems to be his favourite too and he should get a gun run, settling midfield early. I reckon he will be too strong late.
(3) Umgawa hasn’t won in two years but usually races in harder races than this. Currently $7.50 a Place at most online bookmakers and that looks overs. Was only 4L behind Rey Magnerio last start who would win this in a canter.
(9) Inhibitions will likely go forward from barrier 11. He gets the blinkers on for the first time and he does have Willow on. First try at this track.
(7) Zou Senation WIN
$4.00 (2 Units)
