We went 2-2 in last weeks NFL betting tips for a breakeven Thanksgiving weekend. We’ll look to improve on that performance and get back to our winning ways this weekend as we preview some of the key games in Week 13 of the NFL below.
NFL Week 13 Betting Tips
Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys (Friday 12.25pm AEDT)
The Cowboys continued their horror run post the Ezekiel Elliot suspension on the weekend with another blowout loss. They put up just six points in the 22 point loss to the Chargers, making it three games in a row scoring in single digits. QB Dak Prescott looks lost without his main weapon in Elliot on the ground and the Cowboys haven’t been able to find any offence whatsoever in his absence.
The Redskins bounced back after a two games losing streak to defeat the New York Giants 20-10 on the weekend. They currently sit 5-6 on the season with the wildcard race still in play but they can’t afford to lose another game if they want to make a run at it with the fifth placed Carolina Panthers already nothing up eight wins.
Always a great game between any two NFC East rivals but this one seems to have lost a bit of the sting with the Cowboys playing such bad football at the moment. Elliot will remain sidelined for another three games and against a decent rush defence that allows just over 100 yards per game they should struggle to find offence again.

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills (Monday 5am AEDT)
The Patriots showed that even a 16-point line isn’t too many as they defeated the Dolphins by 18 on the weekend to extend their winning streak to seven games and take a commanding three game lead in the AFC East. They’ll be on the road here but will start as heavy favourites once again as they face a struggling Bills team.
Buffalo snapped a three game losing streak as they defeated the Chiefs 16-10 away from home on the weekend. The win gives some assurance to their shaky defence that allowed 135 points in their three previous games. The Patriots defence on the other hand has turned a corner since their ordinary start to the season and have averaged just 13 points allowed in their last seven games.
It’s the offence of the Patriots that has been getting the job done lately for them though. Tom Brady and co have put up scores of 41, 33 and 35 in their last three games and against a Bills team that is still reeling from a horror three game stretch we think the Patriots should be far too strong even away from home.

Philadelphia Eagles at Seattle Seahawks (Monday 12.30pm AEDT)
Arguably the game of the round sees the league leading Philadelphia Eagles traveling to Seattle to take on the Seahawks. The Eagles have a 10-1 record on the season so far and boast the best defence in the league. They allow just 65 rushing yards per game which is over 10 yards better than any other team in the league and allow just 17 points per game.
Seattle, while not the Seahawks of yesteryear, still have an above average defence and will be hunting hunting a win here to stay in contention for the NFC wildcard spots. They had a good win over San Francisco on the weekend but will face a much harder challenge in Week 13.
Tough game to call here, in Philly we’d have no problem picking the Eagles to win but regardless of their record or form, Seattle is always a tough place to go play. The Eagles have wrapped up the NFC East division already and have a fairly easy road after the Seattle game, we think this one could be a scheduled loss for them to recoup before what should be a deep playoffs run.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals (Tuesday 12.30pm AEDT)
Monday Night Football sees two old AFC North rivals in the Steelers and Bengals facing off in Cincinnati. The Steelers were just able to hold on for a 3-point win against an injury ravaged Green Bay team on the weekend to stay level with the AFC leading Patriots with a 9-2 record. Their dynamic offence of Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell run riot on the Packers while their shaky defence kept their opponents in the game.
It should be an easier match for the Steelers this week against the Bengals, who picked up their 5th win of the season and their 2nd in a row on the weekend, defeating the Browns 30-16. The Cincinnati defence is actually above average throughout the season so far, ranking in the top ten for passing yards allowed and points allowed, however, their offence has been a shell, putting up just 18 points per game.
Pittsburgh has shown the ability to put up big scores against even the best of defences this year, and it looks as though the killer three offensive players are beginning to click at the right time of year. Roethlisberger threw for 351 yards and 4 TD’s on the weekend while Brown and Bell both had over 160 all purpose yards. Look for the Steelers to put up at least 30 here to sink the Bengals and their chances of a dream wildcard run.
