NFL Week 11 Betting Tips
New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers (Friday 17th November 12:25pm)
Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte will host the Thursday Night Football match-up between the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers. This is an NFC South rivalry game and it’s also the second time these two teams have met this season. The first time was back on October 17th at the Superdome. It was a high scoring affair and the Saints came out on top 41-38.
The NFC South is a very interesting division. Even though Carolina only has three wins and New Orleans has four. They’re both still in the playoff picture, since Atlanta has dropped right off.
After winning two games in a row and looking more like the Panthers we saw in the Superbowl. Last week they suffered a devastating loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Panthers blew a 17-point lead and made some horrible mistakes in the fourth quarter.
Similarly the New Orleans Saints were just about to knock off the Denver Broncos, before an extra point was blocked and returned for a two-point defensive conversion.
The Panthers are still searching for their first division win and to beat the Saints I feel as though the game needs to be played on their terms. You don’t want to be getting in a shoot-out with Drew Brees and Co. The Saints are averaging 322.7 passing yards per game (ranked 1st). However, they’re also allowing 292.7 passing yards per game (ranked last!).
I hope the Panthers slow the game down either through Jonathan Stewart or Cam Newton running the football. Stewart is averaging 3.63 yards per carry while Cam is averaging 4.6 yards. The Saints allow 107.9 yards of rushing per game. There is also the revenge angle on our side.
Prediction: New Orleans 24 Carolina 26

Houston Texans at Oakland Raiders (Tuesday November 22nd 12:30pm)
The NFL has a special edition of Monday Night Football live from Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. Its officially a home game for the Oakland Raiders and they’re hosting the Houston Texans. Both teams are currently leading their divisions. Houston have six wins and three losses in the AFC South, meanwhile Oakland have seven wins and two losses in the AFC West. Oakland is tied with Kansas City and the Denver Broncos.
The Oakland Raiders are the surprise packet of 2016. They’re led by quarterback Derek Carr who has thrown for over 2500 yards and has 17 touchdowns to his name. Carr has also thrown 155 passing attempts without an interception, which is the 2nd longest active streak of any quarterback. The one-two punch of his two favourite receivers Cooper and Crabtree have proven to be a big handful for opposing defenses. These three key players are a big reason why the Raiders offense are ranked in the Top 10 in passing yards, rushing yards and points per game.
The Houston Texans only just got past the Jacksonville Jaguars last week. Their 72-million-dollar quarterback Brock Osweiler managed just 99 passing yards. So, it’s no surprise that they’re ranked last in passing yards (averaging just 187.3 per game). What they can do well is run the ball and defend the pass. However, Oakland proved that their offense can match it with even the best passing defense (Denver). I see this being a very similar game.
Prediction: Houston 17 Oakland 28
Tip: Oakland Raiders at the line (-5.5) - $1.88 at Sportsbet
