Best Bet: Race 5 - Concubine

This horse has solid formlines for a BM64 race here. Three starts back she competed in this grade and should have finished closer to Model Dragon (still ran 2nd), before winning in easier class. Last start ran on Oaks Day at Flemington and was only beaten 2 lengths, drops way back in class here and should be hard to beat.

Best Value: Race 4 - Itchicoo Park

Draws terribly in barrier 13 of 13 after scratchings, but with luck holds a strong chance at $7. Jumped out nicely in the lead up to his first-up run at Bendigo where he was luckless. Was held up for 300m in the straight before running into 3rd. Step up in distance a big tick. Looks a nice price.

Best Bet: Race 4 - Egg Tart

Ran huge on debut despite not getting out until the 150m mark. Should have finished much closer and will improve off that as well. Avdulla a huge plus and barrier 4 gives her every chance.

Best Value: Race 3 - Seventhchic

Tricky race but this filly showed a lot of promise in her debut prep. Resumes today after two trials and Bowman rides, and although she carries 61kg, the weights are fairly compressed so at $6 she looks a bit of value in the race.
