Sha Tin Racing Tips: Sunday, October 11th
I think Purton’s on a winner here in the form of (4) Maldives for David Hall. When these two combine, they strike at 31%. He’s had two career starts, finishing midfield on debut before improving into 4th at his second start. He resumes from a break today having trialled nicely under Purton and from the good draw he should take some beating.
(3) Natural Storm could be a moral here. He won over this track and distance at the end of last preparation and resumed with a third placing over 1600m. He recorded the second-best final 400m of the race and now steps back up to 1800m. Vincent Ho takes over from Chad Schofield and he draws well in barrier 6. Looks very hard to beat. The obvious danger looks to be (8) Exaltation who ran well first up and now gets Purton booked from barrier 1. Tony Cruz doesn’t use Zac often so you have to take note when he does.
(4) Lucky Express broke through for his first win in Hong Kong last start and can back that up with another one today. He drew barrier 11 and came right down the outside last start but he should get a more economical run from barrier 2 here. Vincent Ho takes over from the suspended Karis Teetan and with even luck, he looks the winner again. (8) Good Luck Friend was only 1.25L behind him last start and gets a 3.5kg swing in the weights today, so he looks a decent price at $9.00, while I wouldn’t dismiss the talented (7) California Rad at $13.
