Ladbrokes Park (Lakeside) hosts its first midweek meeting in more than a month with a quality eight race program.
With a lot of rain around the area once again, the track is likely going to be in the Soft 7 to Heavy range with race one on the program to commence at 1pm.
My best bet comes up in race six and she will try and lead from the get-go in this race.
Sandown Racing Tips: Wednesday November 16th
Best Bet: Race 6
(8) Everglade has drawn well in barrier three and it will pay to forget last starts failure when 10th at Moonee Valley. Nothing went right for her there but before that her 4.25L win at The Valley was excellent when she took control and led all of the way. She will push forward again here for Damien Oliver and if the track remains Soft she will appreciate it even further as that is the surface that she was superior on when she won. He has won for Ollie before.
(11) Sheza Marvel has drawn a little wide for Maher & Eustace, but her Ballarat win was full of merit when she ran on from the 200m. She is untried on SOft and Heavy tracks, however.
(12) Skidamarink settled onspeed when winning at Sale two starts back and she will likely get a similar run from the barrier one draw for Ethan Brown.
(7) Gabstar is resuming but has looked okay at recent jumpouts when finishing second.
(8) Everglade WIN

Next Best: Race 5
(8) Mi Rock Aly has drawn poorly in 14 but will likely go back anyway. She went back at Flemington last start over the mile and then made up good late ground for Craig WIlliams over the concluding stages to finish fifth but only beaten 2L. Before that she probably should have won at Murtoa when 2nd beaten a head and with some pace on in this race, she gets a chance to be strong late again.
(7) Delta Tango has drawn well in two and she does like rain affected tracks. She will likely settle midfield and Declan Bates takes the ride again after winning on her two starts back.
(4) Divine Diosa is another who has drawn poorly in 13 but is in an easier race this time. Her fifth in the John Letts at Morphettville was pretty good and she was beaten less than 2L on that occasion.
(2) Pearl Rain won last start on the Heavy surface and Moonee Valley and if it goes to Heavy again is a big chance.
(8) Mi Rock Aly WIN
$5 (1 Unit)
Value Bet: Race 4
(8) Whirly Jig needs it went and is better than recent form says. Ken Keys has put Craig Williams on this time after he failed to fire at Bendigo last start.
He has won over the distance before and after three runs from a spell he should be ready to fire now. He is zero from three on Good tracks but I can't see the track being in the Good range on race day. He usually does go alright deeper into his preps.
(7) Platinum Spirit is looking for two in a row after a nice win at Mornington on the Heavy last start. He will want it to rain again and the pace to be on as he does get back in his races.
(6) Dahwilly was good when third at Sale last start but was even better when winning there two starts back on a Soft track. He should get similar conditions here and he should finish top four again, a position he has finished on his last five outings.
(5) Kaituku is racing well without winning but he has finished in the money on nine out of his 13 runs. He can handle wet tracks and has Mark Zahra on for the first time.
(8) Whirly Jig WIN
