Welcome to our preview and horse racing betting tips for Pakenham on Saturday, December 8th.
The track is rated a Good 4 with the rail in the true position. This is typically a meeting that throws up some dodgy results so I won’t be investing much, but there’s a few that have caught my eye throughout the day.
We’ve picked out five races to bet into and you can see our tips and comments below!
PAKENHAM RACING TIPS
RACE 1
Thought there were only two winning chances in this. Symphonette comes off back-to-back wins in Adelaide and should be able to measure up with Craig Williams in the saddle. Her biggest and only danger looks to be All In Brawl from the inside gate. He won on debut before being narrowly defeated at the Valley last start. Happy to start the day by backing Symphonette and saving on All In Brawl.
RACE 2
Casino Fourteen improved out of sight second up from a year off the track, posting a dominant win at Donald. Steps up to the mile today, should roll forward from barrier 11 and prove hard to beat once again.
RACE 4
It would be wrong to ignore The People’s Horse Mr Quickie, who just continues to improve and continues to win. His record now stands at four wins from six starts and the most recent of those was a dominant performance at Sandown. He got all the favours from the draw that day and this is certainly harder (especially with the wide draw) but he’s very progressive and has a big finish on him. Stablemate Savaheat looks the value at $12 after being held up the entire straight last time out. He’s ready to win.
RACE 5
Sovereign Duke is a bit of a smokey here at $16. He’s got a terrific first up record, having never missed the placings from seven attempts. He’s also had nine top-two finishes from 12 starts at the distance. Draws well and steps out for a pretty astute stable so he looks a decent each way bet at the odds.
RACE 7
Happy to stick with Kiwia, who was dominant in taking out the Ballarat Cup last start. Prior to that he was a moral beaten at Sandown in the Eclipse Stakes. He looks to have bounced straight back to his best form and I suspect he’s now ready to win over 2500m. His only start at 2400m was a narrow 2nd placing to Qewy. Looks hard to beat from the good draw.
