Super Saturday in Round 14 will see another 3 game slate of interesting matchups. The Titans and Sharks should provide plenty of entertainment at Jubilee Stadium. South Sydney should continue the Cowboys run of poor results. Meanwhile, we’re all waiting to see how the embattled Broncos will respond on the field against the Raiders on Saturday night.
NRL Round 14 Saturday Betting Tips
Sharks vs Titans
Sat, Aug 15 3:00pm
Cronulla heads into Saturday afternoon on the back of a really close battle against the Eels last Sunday. Torrential rain throughout the game saw both sides struggle to hold onto the footy and ultimately, the Sharks just fell short by 2 points. They still sit inside the top 8 by 2 points so this is a crucial game against a bottom 8 side for the home team. At this stage, the Sharks have named Rudolf to start at lock and Sorensen to the bench. However, they are known for making last minute changes.
The Titans finally ended an ugly losing streak against the Cowboys last Sunday with easily their best performance of 2020. Brimson was in everything for the home side with 2 tries and the Gold Coast made the Cowboys pay for their errors in the impressive 30-10 result. While the Titans can’t make the finals this year, they’re building some confidence for next season and they’ve also recruited well for 2021. After last week’s performance, the Titans will go into this clash with an unchanged lineup.
The two sides met on the Gold Coast last month and the Sharks came away with a 40-10 victory. The Titans are looking better lately so we feel they can make this competitive this time around. So this should be another high scoring affair in day conditions where both sides can score 13+.

Cowboys vs Rabbitohs
Sat, Aug 15 5:30pm
North Queensland will be eager for an improved performance on Saturday after a shocker last week. The return of Michael Morgan couldn’t stop a 5 game losing streak as the Cowboys continually made sloppy errors in the 30-10 loss to the Titans. So if that continues, South Sydney will be hard to stop in this clash. In team news, Drinkwater is back from injury and will play fullback. Justin O’Neill has been dropped along with Tim Gilbert.
For Souths, they dominated the Broncos last week in a 28-10 victory. They held 57% of possession for the 80 minutes and took advantage of the ill-disciplined Broncos. So the 7th placed Rabbitohs are expected to continue their form with a comfortable win over the struggling Cowboys. In team selections, they welcome back Jaydn Su’a from suspension and that pushes Liam Knight back to the bench.
South Sydney has won the last 4 meetings with the Cowboys and they’ve scored 30 or more in the last 2 alone. The Cowboys have serious edge defence issues and the likes of Johnson, Mitchell, Gagai and Walker will be extra dangerous as the Rabbitohs should pile on the points.

Raiders vs Broncos
Sat, Aug 15 7:30pm
The Raiders couldn’t match the high flying Panthers last week as they suffered a 28-12 defeat. However, they get the perfect rebound game at home against the struggling Broncos. Despite last week’s result, it was good to see Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad back from injury and it looks like hooker Siliva Havili will play this weekend after picking up an elbow injury last Saturday.
A nightmare season on the field for the 2nd last Broncos is now turning into a season to forget with plenty of action off the field. Tevita Pangai jnr has been dropped and could have his contract ripped up after a serious Covid breach. To make matters worse, Seibold is in quarantine after a family emergency. So it’s hard to see how the Broncos players will be able to focus on a tough assignment in the nation’s capital.
While the Raiders haven’t been at their best attacking wise, this matchup with the Broncos leaky defence is a perfect opportunity to get their attack going. So we like the chances of the Over with the Raiders likely scoring most of this total themselves. Over is also 3-0 in the last 3 meetings.
